Matt Zentrix originated on the west coast of Canada, growing up in the rain drenched temperate rainforests, clear rivers, and salt stained beaches of cascadia.  He used to spend hours staring out of car windows listening to music and dreaming.  Now he travels the world and shares that music with all manner of strange and beautiful people, dancing together under jungle canopies, in abandoned warehouses, and on foggy mountaintops.  When it all comes together there is nothing better.

Started my mixing career in 2011 by Djing subgenres of Rock and Metal in local pubs and dwelled and; tapped into the dimension of Psychill, Psybient, Psydub, Goa Trance, Full on Morning, Progressive Psy, Twilight, Techtrance, Dark Progressive, Full on Night, Forest, Dark-Psy, Psycore,Hightech, subgenres of Techno/Tekno and electronic music. Ayatana is a dark prog & forest psy project from Basel, Switzerland, that combines spiritual depth with psychedelic intensity.
The name Ayatana comes from Sanskrit and means "sensory foundation" or "gateway of perception."
In Buddhist philosophy, it describes the connection between mind, body, and the external world—this very connection lies at the heart of Ayatana's music.

His sets are deep journeys through interwoven soundscapes, where organic textures, dark grooves, and trance-like rhythms merge into a meditative, energetic flow.
Each track opens a new sensory gateway—between light and shadow, consciousness and subconscious.
