Frequencies are made for different bubbles to sumerge, after my personal experience with music I will always give Tribute to the Sound that made TULUM known... It wasn't techno , it wasn't deep house , it wasn't afrohouse... and I am here to stand and make this acknowledgement clear, it was DOWNTEMPO... Many will denied it but my long journey living in this place serves me as a witness, everything else that evolved from this place isn't what it use to be, that's why I decided to make people remember by creating this set, and as things keep evolving rapidly I am building a project in Muyil (20 minutes away from Tulum) call Ka'an Lemuria, a place where Downtempo will ever live, as a sensitive immaculate frequency...

Forgot to record at first and had to re-edit, but I played for almost 3h and hope you'll enjoy listening to this creamy dreamy recording ~

I spent most of summer 2023 on the mystical island of Mykonos in Greece as a resident artist/DJ at the world renowned Noema Restaurant and Scorpios Beach Club. This set I recroded live on one of my last nights on the island after spending the over 2 months there collecting music to curate the vibe of the space. It is a mix of different world vibes of organic downtempo ranging from Middle Eastern to African, European and Latin influences. I hope you enjoy the journey !

J.Pool Live DJ Set @ Noema Mykonos

This past summer I had the opportunity to be a resident Artist/DJ in the world famous Scorpios beach club on the mystical island of Myknonos. I stayed more than 2 months on the island and this set was recorded one afternoon on one of my last days. The vibe in the afternoon at Scorpios is impeccable. The vibe is chill, relaxed, crystal clear waters meet a privte beach and the sun sets slowly below the water on the horizon creating a spectacular show of shade of color on the water and rocky landscape. This set was played before moving into the night energy where the music turns up and the headliner DJs come, with the intention to set the vibe right and get people ready to dance the night away. I hope you enjoy the journey!

A few weeks ago I had the honor & PLEASURE to initiate a new vision and project into the Berlin-o-sphere:  Djing the first Flow Dance | Women's Ecstatic Dance--in the epic Genezareth Church—hosted by a visionary krew of EPIC women that have been feeling a void, and are now filling it with tsunamis of SOUL JUICE and purpose.

This was FAR beyond being a “nice” event hosted by women for women:  this was a declaration of female bodies unapologetically taking in their space, a portal of liberation (recognizing & not bypassing our privileges to dance and move so freely), and it was like we were all collectively drinking a cup of sweet nectar after being in the desert-of-modernity:  our hungry/thirsty bodies were SOAKING up this nourishment & empowerment, clearly revealing how NEEDED such spaces are for the female-bodied, and what a LACK there actually is.

I've been pondering the subtle (and not so subtle) undertones of misogyny that penetrates most aspects of the dominant structures found in our world (that either objectifies or suppresses female bodies, not to mention the suppression of feminine/cyclical nature of all living-sentient-beings)....I've also encountered a LOT of unconscious patterns within the  “conscious-scene” as a female DJ over the years (territorialism competition, entitlement, extraction-based-lack-of-relationality), so this co-creation with these fabulous creatrixes was TRUE NECTAR for my sensitive-rebel-hearted-artist-soul...FULL SUPPORT!
