Broken Heart Song

A very sombre song with a backing to match. This is the fifth song from a  collaborative project, all instruments by my collaborator who records in his home studio, mixes and masters the finished track. I bring my song to the project and complete the track with the vocal.
This is worth hearing with headphones or external speaker to enjoy the full benefit of the bass tones from the lead guitar.

"I Just Can't Live Without You" (Instrumental)

First of all, I would like to wish a happy springtime to all of my fantastic friends here on SoundCloud!  

Without further ado, here is the full instrumental version of a short demo song I made on September 5, 2024. Originally this tune came to me when thinking about the chords and progressions in my earlier song "Peace".

This song was made, played and recorded by me as MIDI and with e.g. the following instruments and sounds: Yamaha Montage 8 (TX816 Electric Piano), Spectrasonics Keyscape (Roland MKS-20 EP sound), Arturia Jup-8 V (Horns), Arturia Synthx V, UVI Ultramini & Arturia Mini-V (Minimoog bass sound), Arturia JUN-6V (the "55 Pop Corn" sound, cf. Juno-6 Synthesizer), Native Instruments Session Guitarist - Electric Mint; and other sounds from the UVI SonicPass VST library including UVI PX Memories (cf. Memorymoog mod), UV-XXX (from the UVI "OB Legacy", horns & the brass sound), UVX-10P (cf. Roland JX-10, the flute sound) and Marcato Strings (from UVI Emulation II). The drums come from Native Instruments Abbey Roads 1980s Drummer, layered with the fantastic Simmons SDS 5 style kick & snare drums from UVI Beatbox Anthology 2.  

Recorded, edited and mixed in Cubase Pro 14, with some significant help from iZotope Neutron. Mastered in Cubase Pro with Ozone 11.

This track is the lead track from my 8th Ep CHEMICAL. 123 BPM. 3m40s. The genres are Big beat / Electronic rock / Breakbeat. The most relevant genre is Big beat. The moods are Energetic / Intense / Aggressive. The style is Beat music. Everything by myself. Heavily influenced by 90s UK Dance music. The similar artists are The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. The intense and aggressive chorus part is a highlight (The impressive sound effects in the chorus part are made from my voice). I started making this piece with the intention of it being a set of songs that could stand on their own as well as being an open collaboration, but then it took on a life of its own, and things just got out of hand from there, lol! 

But I still managed to control myself and didn’t add too many samples though, haha! 

I was listening to 1985 and 1986 hip hop singles when making this so….

You can download this for free as well as some of the unmixed stems on Bandcamp. The lyrics can also be found on Bandcamp since SC didn’t provide enough space in the song info. I reached my description limit!
