Cosmin Nicolae, aka Cosmin TRG, has been churning out sonic excellence for more than a decade. With a recent album on the illustrious Opal Tapes, as well as another one on his own Fizic imprint, he has executed his ambient foray with great success. Remaining aware of how society tends to break everything down for its own uses, he moves forward with an awareness of ambient's originally sacred place in the lives of those who have helped culminate it.  This awareness, combined with his nuanced production, made him a ripe pick for our podcast series. The Tale:

The now silent road leading to the way home is indistinguishable from the surrounding landscape.
Thunder in the dark, a whisper of wind and suddenly you come across a gigantic organism of sin and darkness. 
Keep walking, deeper, until you are at the foot of a real underground. 
You pass many rooms and landscapes, everyone seems to go on forever carrying something. 
A disturbing wooden door blocks your path.

Splashes of dried blood are everywhere, somehow unaffected by the weather. 

You walk over to inspect it and suddenly the door opens slowly on its own. 
Four burning eyes stare at you with deafening violence and another howl hits your left eardrum in an annoying way. 
You try to stay still while the desire to escape runs through your veins.

Llegamos al número 21 de Isolation Series de la mano de Irazu. Nacido en Madrid, pero viviendo en algún lugar de Europa, su conexión con la música electrónica es solo un símbolo del expresionismo sonoro del autodescubrimiento para tratar de saber quién es.

Irazu define su trabajo como "Un espacio íntimo entre la tensión y la falsa tranquilidad" y nos deja esta reflexión sobre el mix que ha titulado como ‘110’: 

“110 es un número sagrado. La soledad es parte de lo que es.

La energía que representa el número 110 es ilimitada. Tiene una propensión a tratar a las personas de manera intensa.

La profunda resonancia es la vibración de la propia soledad, la base sobre la cual se genera dicha intensidad.

Una persona con el número 110 en su mente tiende a ser consciente de su relación inseparable pero independiente con la soledad.

La soledad es una resonancia de la propia vida, la vibración es la base de la energía representada por el número 110.

Imagina estar en una situación de soledad extrema, con puntos de vista, pensamientos, reflexiones y sentimientos generados por la propia situación.

Phillippe Petit is a Belgian Techno DJ and producer originally from Brussels, now based in Chamonix, France. 
He Runs a vinyl label Knotweed Records and Decision Making Theory.

He started DJing in the early nineties. After spending 15 years in London, he moved to Chamonix, France, in 2010 where he launched two vinyl labels: Knotweed Records (2011) and Decision Making Theory (2013). He has a string of techno releases on his own labels, as well as on others, Rekids, Involve, Figure SPC, EartoGround.
He has played at Tresor, Suicide Circus, La Graviere, Batofar, Weetamix, Corsica Studios, and Berghain to name a few.
