Taking musical influences from electronic music masterminds and

brought to life an immanent sound all her own with reinvigorated
analog aesthetics and futuristic-meets-traditional ethnic
instrumentation.

sonic serenity, this Dakini of Dub welcomes remarkable journeys with

Chet sent me the original a while back and I directly felt in love w it. Once it got released I got really excited and had the chance to do a remix of it. I added everything I could to make the track a bit more "mine" while keeping everything from the original track! One foot forward [ Addictech Records : Beneath The Surface EP ]

Mad Liberation is a collection of songs that I have been working on for the past year that ranged from mostly original compositions to varied sample work (retro vinyl recordings and new all original recordings); digital synthesis that took me weeks to master; to live instrumentation tediously and soulfully recorded by myself and some of my very good friends. 

This collection of noise - to me - became an album, a sound in a whole, an idea free from limits of thought and more an idea of the heart and soul. Mad Liberation is a piece of me that is representative of my past, breathes life into my present, and is a taste of the future. 

I don't have fancy recording equipment, amazing speakers, crazy keyboards, complicated sample packs, proper studio time, cutting edge midi controllers, or outboard mixing gear. 

What I do have is an endless imagination of the future/now, unrelenting will, constant fascination, and a heart that has no capacity to stop loving and trying. 

This business - when you boil it down - is not about the machine, but about the man. Even electronic music is humanistic. We breath life into these dead things to make them whisper and ROAR!! I am inspired by that fact, and this is what sets me free.

Grizmatik - Digital Liberation Is Mad Freedom

In celebration of our new album 'My Heart is Love' being released today on Gravitas Recordings, we've featured a track for either stream or download.

'A Noble Truth' was written in a few days, and based on the inspiration of
the buddhist teachings 'The Four Noble Truths', which is the central
doctrine. The track both reflects and embodies the idea of utilizing the act
of creation to transcend 'dukkha' (suffering) and achieve a state of connected-ness . 

As you listen to it, you'll hear that it starts off much more frantic and aggressive, sort of representing dissatisfaction - but then it evolves into a meditative state, evoking a sense of serenity that is simultaneously comforting and lonely.  Then, again, it shifts, and the cycle continues.  

This is more about the process of fluctuating duality than some tale of enlightenment. :)
