Kaseys Bio 

One of the most loved names on the Australian dance music scene, Kasey Taylor made his mark in his hometown of Melbourne before John Digweed scouted him in the mid- nineties to play at his infamous Bedrock night in London. That was the catalyst for Taylor to take his sound to a global audience, leading to international exposure and a permanent move to Portugal to satiate the demands of his worldwide bookings. Currently, he is the creative power behind no less than three record labels. That includes the highly revered Vapour Recordings, the 23-year old mainstay which is over 150 releases deep, and the off-shoot imprint eVapour8, which topped the Beatport charts with its very first release. The most recent addition to his portfolio is Lo-Fi 45, which has seen Kasey take on a mentor role to use his years of experience to identify, sign and nurture local Australian talent. 2019 is a year of change for Kasey, not only is he experiencing a personal and creative renaissance, but he is initiating a complete rebrand across the board. His Vapour Recordings has just gone through a revamp which will include a new online portal. That will also coincide with an exciting release roster of new music that is already creating excitement with some of the scene’s biggest players. Top that off with a packed bookings schedule and the future is set for one of Australia’s most popular dance music artists to introduce himself to a brand new generation of dance music connoisseurs.

Regarded in the Australian progressive house scene as one of it premier talents
Karl Pilbrow's passion and appreciation for music has been a lifelong affair. Originally coming from New Zealand, he moved to Melbourne in early 2012.
In the years following Karl began to experience the outdoor festival culture the city is renowned for, he could not help but fall in love with electronic music. This new-found affection took him to all parts of the globe, intent on learning more about the outdoor music culture, the communities involved, and most importantly… the music.
Fast forward to today and you’ll find one of the best exponents for Progressive House in Melbourne. Atmospheric, melodic, uplifting and groovy, Karl has dedicated himself to refining a sound that is true to himself and the music that inspires him.
In a career that only began five years ago Karl’s meteoric rise already seen many highlights. These include playing sunset on Sunset at Rainbow Serpent 2019, warming up for Guy J and Roger Martinez, playing after Nick Warren.
He has also had releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat Music and Kasey Taylor's Vapour Recordings.
Karl is also an integral part of community events company Wildwood, not only as a resident DJ but as an event manager and curator for @wildwoodpodcastseries. . This has produced the perfect creative outlet for both his music and his love for festival culture.

The 22nd edition in our "moments" series brings a great friend to us at Meanwhile Recordings and Australian and international legendary DJ and producer in Kasey Taylor.

For over 3 decades Kasey has been a benchmark artist for the progressive community, from early days spotted and outed to tour around the world by the great John Digweed, to his seminal Vapour Recordings imprint.

After a recent euro tour where Meanwhile and Vapour joined forces for a sold out ADE show, we now present one of Kasey’s first gigs back on Australian soil, warming up for Patrice Baumel and Nick Warren at the recent Enchanted Garden Morning After party.

Born and raised in Belarus but now based in Poland, Kostya Outta first emerged just over a decade ago. On the success of early tracks such as ‘High Flyers’ and ‘Silence’, Kostya’s groovy melodic sound was born, making him a new breed of progressive house producers to watch going forward. A continued evolution in sound across the last three years has seen the Belarusian artist rise into one of the genre’s most in demand talents. World class DJs such as Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and more have been steadfast supporters along the way, while releases via Replug, Proportion, Afterglow and Mango Alley have been discography highlights.

His most successful single 'Falcon' entered the Top 10 Progressive House on Beatport, rising to the 4th position. It also became one of the 'Best Sellers 2022'. The same story is about his single 'Space' [Replug Records] with the #5 peak position among Progressive House releases in the Beatport chart. It received support from absolutely all the Hi-Ends of Progressive House scene and along with his track ‘On Waves’ was included in the chart ‘Beatport curation: Best of 2023‘.

Since the start of his career, Kostya has managed to perform at many gigs and festivals, and has become a regular on the European club scene, sharing stages with Sander van Doorn, Aly & Fila, Westbam, Robert Babicz, wAFF, Dmitry Molosh and many others. From Barcelona to Warsaw and Hamburg, Kostya Outta adds a difference to his gigs: “a sound from outta space”, as he says.
