Marc Romboy’s Systematic imprint prepares for another milestone release this October with the announcement of Music From Space (Dimension A). The nine-track VA compilation draws inspiration from Marc’s ‘Music From Space’ radio show, featuring exclusive recordings from Hunter / Game, Petar Dundov, Rodriguez Jr. and a host of other electronic music talent.

The German label-founder spoke on what the release embodies, stating: “Music From Space (Dimension A) is the brand new edition of this compilation concept, which you can take literally as it comes. I’m very happy to have collected eight exclusive tracks from the likes of Swedish Lady Molø, our newest signing Pôngo, ex-youngster Rodriguez Jr. and many more besides.”

Way Out West a.k.a. Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff made a stellar return this summer with their new studio album ‘Tuesday Maybe’. The title track was released as a single in early 2016, remixed by I:Cube and supported by John Digweed, Maceo Plex and Âme, and now Israeli maestro Guy J works his magic on a brand new remix.

Layering the atmospheric original melodies over a driving low-end groove, Guy adds his trademark progressive touch to proceedings whilst ramping up the drama in an epic breakdown.

Endangered Records reveals the next chapter in Brian Cid’s rapid ascent as a true ambassador of melodic techno.

Since launching Endangered with his Third Eye Shut EP, Brian Cid’s studio output has seen him appear on Tale of Us’ fabric 97 compilation, on Natura Sonoris with a remix for Henry Saiz, and also a collaboration with Justin Marchacos on Endangered’s second release.  It’s now time for the Brooklyn-based DJ, producer and sound engineer to return full force to the label with Intriga, an EP filled with an abundance of Brian’s signature emotional journeys, and deep percussive themes.  

“Intriga EP is a sonic exploration to the deep side of melodic techno. It presents a story from beginning to end” says Brian. “Heavy on the drums as it's written for the dance floor, each one presenting a bold statement, more than mood tracks these are room shakers designed to impact. Written in the span of a year, I focused on using classic drum machines, modular and analog synths/pads as well as organic elements. This is my signature sound - this project doesn't belong anywhere else other than on Endangered.” 

Opening the five-track release, “The Space Above” quickly sets an atmosphere of deep textures, before diving into bursting chords that lead into the hypnotically driven “Fantasio”.  Loaded with reverberating hi-hats and snares, percussion heavy “Petalos Sole” prepares listeners for the tension building lead title track “Intriga”, as its main motif journeys through waves of effects and striking synths.  Rounding out the EP with its longest offering, “Vacio” features a futuristic arpeggiating melody between echoing pads and scattered crescendos. 

Further solidifying Brian Cid as a worthy flag carrier of the new wave of deep eclectic dance music, this EP is sure to make an impression on today’s top tune selectors and educated listeners.

'Yoshitoshi Celebrates 25 Years with Three Genre-Focused Compilations : House, Techno, Melodic House.

For the Melodic House edition of Yoshitoshi 25, we’ve focused on the tracks that were either too proggy for house or too melodic for techno. Many house historians would claim that this sound has been Yoshitoshi’s bread and butter throughout the years, and this final entry into the Yoshitoshi 25 compilation series demonstrates exactly why. As with the other two compilations, we’ve selected a handful of freshly remastered, stone-cold classics such as PQM’s “You Are Sleeping (Luke Chable Mix),” Valentino’s “Flying,” and Morel’s “True (The F****t Is You - Deep Dish Remix),” and mixed them up with the most memorable modern records from Yoshitoshi’s catalogue like OC & Verde’s “Indica,” Khainz’s “Collider,” and Red Axes’ remix of Dino Lenny’s “I Feel Stereo.” Of course the package wouldn’t be complete without some new remixes, so Sharam and Armonica have delivered some beautifully-crafted reworks of Yoshitoshi classics. Sharam takes on Luzon’s mega-classic “The Baguio Track,” turning the tune into a dark roller that has been the talk of his recent Burning Man sets. Armonica crafted an amazing remix of Anarcrusan’s “In My Mind” that winds gracefully between delicate, dreamy riffs and bouncy, bass-driven breakdowns. The final package is a perfect way to end the Yoshitoshi 25 series, giving both new listeners and longtime fans of the label an expansive view of the label’s legacy. Look out for it December 13th on Beatport and streaming platforms.'
