I did these in late 2021 for the project "Sonic 3 RSDK" which was basically meant to be a proof of concept for RSDK modding and a recreation of the Sonic 3 mobile prototype. Beyond just cleaning the tracks up with modern mixing tools, since this is the Retro Engine, my job was to make these tracks LOUD AS FUCK. So that's what I did.

This one took me a while, as I actually tried to fully recreate the tune note-by-note, and I personally think I got it right. :D

Sandopolis Zone (Act 1) - Sonic Mania Remix

So I'm FINALLY playing Undertale, since it's now on the Switch. It's really good I like it a lot. I'm bad at it though.

But that's not the point, the point is that there is a new hidden boss in the game and it's got a dope boss theme, which I've covered in Famitracker. Sorry if I'm spoiling anyone btw. :/

Undertale (Switch) - Mad Mew Mew [8-bit 2A03]

It's Stickerbrush Symphony! Or StickerBUSH, if you're pedantic. Nothing I can say about this song that hasn't already been said before, but I do like it a lot and wanted to pay homage to DKC2 in general with this cover. It's a really good game and it gives me the warm feelies.

Y'know, with the exception of a couple tiny parts, this song isn't as hard to cover as I initially thought it would be. Which is good because I'm lazy and wouldn't have ever finished this if it were like wicked difficult.

Donkey Kong Country 2 - Stickerbrush Symphony [VRC6]

Hey what's up! I've done my best to make a Famitracker cover of Crocodile Cacophony's new arrangement in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. K. Rool is really well-represented in this game!

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Crocodile Cacophony [8-Bit VRC6]

Dave's theme from Maniac Mansion is probably one of my all-time favorite songs from a video game. The rhythm, the melody, the sick guitar solos! It's all just really good.

I did a cover of this song a couple years ago in the Mega Man X style, and it came out pretty good, but I always felt like I could have done better on the arrangement side of things. When I heard Master Mi's remix of this song and how it used pitch bends during the main melody, it inspired me to return to this song and try to really hammer in all the things I love about this song.

Maniac Mansion - The Boys Are Still Back (Dave's Theme) [VRC6]

Also known as Final of Puyo Puyo (Satan's Theme) from Puyo Puyo.

There's a few different versions of this song but the DRMBM version is still my favorite for how hard it goes. Really adds some intensity to a game about stacking goo!
