Second Industrial Propaganda Podcast mixed by Dep Affect.

Industrial Hardcore Techno producer originally from Perth, Western Australia, Dep Affect began writing music on a PC when he was 12. 

Despite being non-existent down his side of the country, he somehow discovered and fell in love with the aggressive hardcore sound coming out of Holland and Germany. Years later 2005 Dep Affect signed with Dutch label The Third Movement, and produced three 12" releases.

Now in residing in Melbourne; he continues his exploration of industrial hardcore techno through New York label Industrial Strength Records. He describes himself his pure and unique style as twisted, groovy, intense and fucked up.

Avoiding the cheesy and obvious at all cost, Dep Affect aims for an original and intruiging sound. With having pushed the industrial hardcore sound for many years, he currently finds gratification through the rougher side of techno.

BIO:

Born in 1994, he started to become interested in electronic music from an early age, showing an special interest in the harder styles of the electronic music scene. Later on, he started producing his own tracks, focusing his style on Hardcore, Frenchcore, Terror and Breakcore sounds. He joined Reaktor Group and started to play his music in national and international partys in many well known clubs and festivals like Sala Cosmik, La Cova, Dirty Club, Histeria, The Zoo, Mama Mandawa, The End Of The World, etc; sharing stage with many of the best national and international artists like The Braindrillerz, Bit Reactors, D.O.M., Chem D, Hungry Beats, Adrenokrome, Dr. Peacock, Section Grabuge, Unexist, Mad Dog, Dyprax, Mutante, Bonehead, Neurokontrol, The Vinylraider, Vendettah, Gamm@, Chok Dee, Carles S, Retako aka Kick Terrorist, Raventos, Ohmicide, The Kracker, Stygmah, Nocive, Flyout, Osterberger, Ruru, The Inception, Muaythek & System 122 aka Brutal Smashing Heads Sibelium6tem, Kicks Noize, Maverick and many more. In the midst of the increasingly popular house music hurricane comes a fresh two track EP from one of the movement’s most promising talents, Richy Ahmed. Taking cues from hip-hop, techno, funk and disco, ‘The Drums’ EP arrives on the 2nd of December via Hot Creations.

Just stretching his limbs in terms of his discography, in less than two years the London-based producer has gathered some series attention. From 2011’s slinky, deep house mover 'Suck It' (Hot Creations) to his 80's chicago manipulation remix of Infinity Ink's 'Infinity', there’s always an enviable glisten about his work. His wizardry behind the decks lead to him being named resident DJ at DC10's Paradise this summer with the season coming to an end in late September.

'The Drums' got its maiden plays during Richy's Boiler Room Set and the takeovers of Paradise Ibiza. The EP steps out of the blocks with definite verve. Title track, 'The Drums', a hip-house barnstormer of a track it massages a buttery-smooth rolling bassline into a four-to-the-floor backdrop with contagious results. Legend, Kevin Knapp, jumps on vocal duty dropping in and out with praise to 'the drums'. On the flip side, '101 Jam' is a rolling analogue slice of deep house brilliance. Here, Richy pitches skittering hi-hats and hyperactive synth movements atop a robust bassline foundation. It proves homage to the brand of house celebrated right from the genre’s genesis.

The stridency of the sound driven to another side of the vanguards, the electronic concept of the industrial sound, the evolution of Techno the day that it converted into Hardcore and it adapted the touches of a not so far past. This are the characteristics that define the creations of Noxoize, an artist that has seen the sound that the biggest artists boosted, converting it in his darkest, cold and mechanic presentation card.
Noxoize, the artistic name of Nacho Mayoral, DJ and Producer born in 1989, he shows us in his sets a wide diversity of elements rescued from the tendencies that wrap the sounds born from the Hardcore, mixing the Mainstream with the darkest solutions like Darkcore and focusing in his passion for the hardest Industrial.
He’s the creator, together with The Hard Drummer, another Phrenetikal Records artist, of a netlabel called “North Gabbers” in which they made a before and alter in the Hard culture in the north of Spain. His bet made his mentality as an artist to be known, expressed in the cuts from his productions.
His first rounds were Techno and Trance, being them the most common movements in his area, but later he discovered the Makina sounds from Barcelona, where sometimes you could find some Mainstream Hardcore touches, which made that his first influences were born from this tendency, where from that moment he started to fulfil his musical preferences.
Maybe one day he will be able to fulfil his hungry for strength in the productions that he searches for, but it’s sure that it he doesn’t find it, he will continue making the effort so that his music is the reflection of his darkest thoughts.

The third installment of 3024′s KJL series is a reissue of a track off my first album “Great Lengths”. “Is This Insanity?” was the first collaboration with the inimitable vocalist and great friend Stephen Gordon a.k.a. The Spaceape – who sadly passed away on October 2nd 2014. The song was written shortly after Stephen’s daughter was born and deals with the rollercoaster of emotions one goes through taking care of a new life. You carry on because there’s a responsibility, but at the same time you ask yourself whether this is insanity? The tune got a massive boost in 2010 in the shape of Ben Klock’s monumental remix of it. That record has been out of stock for ages, so I put that on the B-side here for you. I treat this record as a memory but you’re more than welcome to bang it out in the club of course! Enjoy..“

Anders loves to work with analogue gear to get a crispy sound and a creative work flow. Hes live sets i preformed with machines only and his tracks are solid and bass heavy techno with a droning landscapes and driven intensity. Inspiration is his friends, Berlin, Techno vinyls as well as tracks he heard in his early days.

Madrid native Dennis Cruz makes his Solid Grooves Records debut with three rumbling cuts including a remix from fellow countryman Wade.

Since his debut in 2010, Cruz has become a staple in Beatport’s charts, not to mention the sets of artists such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Yousef and Roger Sanchez. Throughout this time the likely producer has dropped releases on Saved, Deeperfect, Stereo Productions and Kinetika, not to mention his very own imprint Lemon-Aid Music. He now arrives on PAWSA & Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves Records, joining the likes of Wade, Kuo Climax and Rockwell & Landers for an exciting second year for the label.

Initiating with the sound of a roaring crowd, ‘See Line’ was produced with the dancefloor in mind using thudding kicks, arcane vocal samples and an energetic rhythm. ‘Heads or Cruz’ is a more low-slung number with a focus on a killer groove, whilst ‘Bienvenido’ engages in a medley of percussive elements geared for peaktime antics. Tying the package together, Wade remixes ‘See Line’ to give it his signature twist whilst ensuring the heady vocals reiterate throughout.

Hot Creations gear up to drop the eagerly anticipated House & Pressure from hot property Route 94. Echoing the excitement that surrounded his No.1 hit My Love, which shot him to stardom, the record has been in serious demand for months. Rowan Jones aka Route 94 explains how he wanted to “put out three tracks that were diverse yet definitive.” Title track House & Pressure packs a real punch and contains the vocals from Joey Negro's classic Ride the Storm featuring Linda Clifford. The dominant female vocal on ‘House & Pressure’ combined with the force of the drum machines is a traditional element that people connect to the Route 94 productions.
