Leftfield is a British electronic music group formed in 1989 in London, England. The group initially consisted of Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, before Daley left in 2002, leading to the group's dissolution, and then his return with Barnes as the sole leader in 2010.


They were among the first to fuse house with dub and reggae, thus giving birth to progressive house. They were pioneers in integrating vocals into electronic music.


In 1995, their album Leftism managed to reach the third place in the UK sales chart. In 1999, the album Rhythm And Stealth reached the top of the English charts.
