B4 is the progressive psytrance project of Boolint (also kown as HiBoo) and Dj Botond. Both are well known in the Hungarian scene as they performed in numerous parties and festivals in the past decade. Boolint’s musical career dates back to 1994 when he launched his first rock music band. Just a couple of years later the discovery of electronic music made him spend sleepless nights in front of his computer producing beats and melodies. He has been performing on pystrance parties since 1999. While Boolint is a producer who also likes DJing Botond’s career started with mixing back in 2000. While playing regularly on the remarkable parties and festivals all over the country he always had the urge to create something more, make his sets a bit different. This was the point when they first joined their forces and performed DJ sets together when Botond played the beat and Boolint added synths, samples and vocals. Many-many dance floors were set on fire by their sets over the years and it became more and more obvious that they should move on from the stage to the studio and create their own sound. Their sound is based on clean, energetic beats and contains the elements of many different genres such as psychedelic trance, techno, trance, house and even involves some live instruments and vocals.
On the stage when playing live they try to follow the pattern they did with their DJ sets, while Botond plays the rhythmic parts of their tracks Boolint adds the melodies. By manipulating beats, synths and effects on the fly both are making sure that none of the live sets they play will be identical.
