I am a sound designer and performance artist, I collect vintage synthesizers and I play a lot of video games. I adore all things experimental, ambient and industrial.

Ryan Knowles aka RepliKator began playing underground parties & clubs at just 16 under DJ MIDIAN. 
Whilst enjoying playing other peoples tunes he soon felt the need to weave his own unique sound into his sets. 
Within 3 years whilst still dj'ing at underground raves he soon moved to the next level when he formed a band named I.A.M (INDUSTRIAL AUDIO MELTDOWN) with Richard Sekerson, Victor Murphy aka Max Dodge, DJ Luke Skudds & within 3 years was playing major raves to huge crowds (EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY,  GLOBAL VILLAGE, HARDWARE, EARTHCORE ) as well as a live residency at the MANSION & Chasers Hard n Fast dj residency 
RepliKator has supported the likes of Dave Clark, Patrick Lindsey, Humate, Dave The Drummer, Missah & Tim (Dye Witness) to name a few. 
 
I.A.M disbanded in 2002 and Ryan studied production at SAE & worked as a technician for Harry The Hirers A/V dept and Lock & Load. 
Whilst still performing rarely he started making audio for ads for various Radio stations such as Gold FM, KISS FM, Classic Rock FM, Magic 1278, SEN, 2CH. (Doing sound, for both television & corporate audio, from documentaries to eulogies, all the while exploring sonic realms which he still does to date.) 
 
Continuing producing various forms of electronic music Ryan & Sash Remenski (Colourfast) old childhood friends, fused Tekno & Rock & as such RepliKator was formed in 2008. 
After 2 releases in 3 years Sash left the band to continue his own path. 
Ryan then went on to produce under Ryan Knowles & RepliKator, releasing on Baku Shado (NYC), Post Religion (England), Studio 3 reKords (BRAZIL) & Central.Asian.Nervous System (NYC) of which Ryan also currently handles press for. 
 
After post producing an internet radio show (THE WAY PEOPLE STARE) & getting involved in a world wide music scene (WITCH HOUSE, DRAG, DARK WAVE, GLOOM TEK) Ryan & Toby Borrow mastered an Occupy NYC CD for Baku Shado (NYC) & formed a mastering post production service called WITCHMASTERZ AUDIO which led them to master the next 25 album releases as well as mastering other labels & clients (Aural Sects, Post Religion) material plus 3 vinyl releases & a cassette run. 
 
Ra (DJ Natural One), founder of Aum Show (Dj, Producer) had been having Ryan in as guest dj/host over the years & as of 2012 invited him to co host the Aum Show on KISS FM (Australia) 87.6 FM. 
Being artistically minded with the same goals lead them to fantastic results and an ever growing audience on their weekly radio shows as well as creating together under the guise 'Bone Throwers' 
As of July 2012 the Witchmasterz Collective moved from a fortnightly 10 to 11pm Saturday night show to a weekly prime time 6 to 7pm Tuesday slot on Kiss Fm 87.6 FM Melbourne's premiere dance music radio station. 
In June 2013 Ryan took the helm and renamed the show Neo Faux which can be streamed online or listened to via an iPhone app. 
Ryan still plays music ,last big gig at RAINBOW SERPENT FESTIVAL as well as managed the CHILL OUT stage ( 2 shifts) whilst a monthly dj residency at Fitzroy Beer Gardens . 
 
Ryan's focus and passion lays predominantly in creating and discovering new genres. 
In supporting those true innovators who take music in new and interesting directions, Ryan is 
focused on reemerging genres, as well as producing and promoting the new blood of talented artists changing and forging the new sonic scope.
