First Ever Four Track Pryda EP

Eric Prydz today unveiled his new Pryda EP. It’s a classic slice of the inimitable Pryda sound that has defined the label’s output over the last ten years, and united the dance community. Pryda 028 is the first Pryda release to ever contain four tracks, and comes hot on the heels of the anthemic Eric Prydz summer hit ‘Liberate’.

These four tracks – Mija, Origins, Axis, & Backdraft - show another side to Pryda, one firmly rooted in the label’s club roots. Pryda 028 speaks to Prydz’ love of dark rooms and late nights, dancefloors with their heads down – audiences losing themselves in a journey, surrendering to the music, rather than demanding another recognizable drop.

Pryda 028 another genre defining release for Pryda – its house music but first and foremost it’s Pryda. The EP’s intricate blend and layering of harmonies and hooks, replete with that distinctive Prydz touch for melody, combine to make club music that just couldn’t come from anyone else.

Ten years and 28 releases in, Prydz and his Pryda label remain in the enviable position of straddling a line between the overground and underground, an achievement that is ever more difficult in the polarized world of contemporary electronic music.

Whether it’s a mainstage slot, or a dark after-hours session as his techno alias Cirez D, Prydz fans have come to expect something different and unique from the Swede. At a time when EDM festival mainstages homogenate, Prydz seems to stand further and further apart. This Pryda EP is an uncompromising exploration of the style and sound that define one of dance music’s truly singular talents.

Lords Of Summer (The Glitch Mob Remix)

The prolific Audio Noir dishes out another tasty treat with this two tracker entitled Progressive Tales. Just recently he was on hand for remix duty on the revamped Extreme Trax release, Sound & Future where he delved into a more electro theme with fantastic results. Currently he is finishing off some very exciting work which we hope to be seeing very soon. Lots to keep an eye and an ear on with this guy so stay tuned.

Solace & Light drags you deep into the progressive world right from the off as big chunky broken kicks burst through to the backdrop of a stunning atmospheric soundscape that really locks you in. An infectious arp dishes out a sweet melody as the beats go for a full on four to the floor groove. The track soon reveals an energetic, driving bassline that takes over the sound before we hit the break where a dark progressive lead is unleashed with a little help from a classic trance-like gated vox. A big and ballsy production that will definitely light up floors everywhere for sure.

Spaghetti Western intros with a surreal musical trotting hoof sound that is joined by punchy kicks, sharp claps and a devilish, driving bassline that dominates the groove. Shuffling hats provide a solid rhythmic platform where the layers build effortlessly as huge deep pad sequences form up on the break alongside a cool spoken vocal. The leads inject a dose of adrenaline that sends this deep progressive groover into overdrive complete with a sprinkling of Morricone for good measure. One for the big floors here that will not disappoint.

Today we have a welcome return on the label, as we finally have the honor to welcome back the brilliant producer producer from Greece Psychowsky to PHW Elements. For those of you following our label and the scene in general, know everything about this great producer and what he is capable of creating. This time he is bringing his brilliant “Lights Of Kiev” to our roster, and what a great progressive journey this is. Full of sparkling elements and and textures, he once again proves what a great artist he is, building fantastic melodic numbers with both character and atmosphere, superb stuff is here for you.

On remix duty, we have the pleasure to present you some absolutely stunning names on remixes, as we have a first time appearance from the Melbourne based producer Matter on PHW Elements. We have been chasing him for a while, and finally we got a track on that he really enjoyed and wanted to take the challenge and build something of his own. The result?

Well to be fair, the music speaks for itself, as he builds a groovy monster, packed with supreme elements and grooves that most definitely defines what a hypnotic progressive journey is all about. It is a truly monstrous production that we are so happy to be able to present to you all.

Next up is another debut on PHW Elements, as we see the great alias of qoob joining our roster. Being a producer that we have been following for ages, having the style of music that we seek for, we of course went nuts when accepting to take a twist on this production. The outcome is more than we ever could ask for, as you will witness a fantastic journey in melodies and harmonies where deep and evolving textures is the key. Absolutely fabulous stuff here that we do know a lot of you guys will fall for.

The closing number is a welcome return from one of our great buddies on the label, as we see a return from the long time server on the scene, Fractal Architect. Being one that is literally making music each and every day, he here takes his twist on the original ideas from Theo. With a slightly more upbeat take, he bring on his quality and diversity to the release. It has a great groove with the rolling bass sounds, and together with supreme pads and effects, this little masterpiece is one to hit the sets and track listings for many months to come.

A superb musical treat to your ears and overall a massive package in our opinion that no one should miss out on!

So yeah as we wanted at first to make a remix just for the fun of it to enter the competition under another name, we were oficially requested by Rich to do a remix of Damage Control, an original we already spun a lotta times. At first we wanted to make something really out of the box n different more breaks guided like our remix for opiuo but as some certain people cant really appreciate musicianship over style we just gave them what they want, and did what we can do best which is delivering complextro like no one does. (altho we admit this tunes first drop has quite a far too loud vibe). 
But the main reason we did this remix is because we EFFIN LOVE Hirshee, Lazy Rich and Amba, good people with great personalities that we had the chance and honor to hang out with.
