The ‘Faces’ EP artwork is an aerial photograph of the Knik Glacial River in Alaska, taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

Alaska’s waters are among the most productive in the world, sustaining rich marine life and vital fisheries. The Alaska Marine Conservation Council (@ak.marine) champions sustainable management of these ecosystems, working with communities to protect fish habitats and ensure a healthy future for marine resources.

A Z3/Nihil Young record has to be powerful and has to be special and that is what we have here. TYGR TYGER is the project of Alex Sauer, a German artist/producer/DJ who has had great releases across Colorize, Armada and others – a very warm and welcomed debut on the Zerothree imprint. Nihil Youngs very first Zerothree release ‘Loss’ has now streamed well over 3 million streams and is still one of the reasons why this relationship with artist/label works – the mission to release timeless classics.
 
‘Running’ is such an emotional, powerful vocal record.. A full original vocal runs through this, written by both Nihil Young/TYGR TYGR and it is built around those synths and sounds that you associate with Nihil Young… This one feels nice and special and hopefully will connect through summer.

“Wings in Flames” is a track about a flight that turns into a fall, and about a fall that gives birth to new strength. 124 BPM of atmospheric progressive house. A soft, clean kick and deep sub-bass set the rhythm, while layered, cinematic pads envelop the listener like smoke rising from burning wings. Lively synth arpeggios soar through the air, while raw male vocals, heavy with distortion and a growl, cut through the mix: “Wings break… Skies bleed… Fire calls… We see…”.
Dreamy darkness, light melancholy, and raw power weave together. The track slowly builds, gains altitude, and ultimately explodes with inner force.
