This mix is all about one epic journey my wife, son and I embarked on when we visited the mighty USA.
And so, my journey begins...in an RV the size of a small house!
We left Monterrey and headed down Route 1 bound for Pismo Beach and Carpinteria. Blue skies and glorious sunshine followed us on our month road trip to some of the most amazing places I have ever seen. Off the bay came the Humpbacks and Orcas…absolutely breath taking. Watching the surfers catch their ride with the Pelicans flying low over the waves, while the sun starts its journey downward…mesmerising. The tracks in this mix have a deep organic feel with the warmth of a lazy, hazy summer's day and remind me of that wonderful journey. After leaving the coast and heading into the mountains, we stopped off at Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia, which leads me in nicely to say that one of the tracks is aptly called ‘Sequoia’ by Mango Cult (Mass Digital Remix). You cannot do a trip like this and not be affected spiritually.
The USA will always have a special place in my heart, and I always get a longing to go back. The first track is one of my all-time favourites called ‘Emotions Electric’ by A Guy Called Gerald. I could listen to this track on repeat and never get tired of it.
I think that music is the only thing that can change everything. I believe that music can change what people do, how they think and feel, and how they do things. Music can help and change a person…even heal. I’ve listened to so many hours of music, and I know that it can make your day when you are feeling low. I know that music can change how you think or feel, because there are some songs I only listen to when I am sad, mad…happy or trying to concentrate. Every piece of music has its own personality and its own place in time.
My belief formed simply by listening to music almost all the time and realising the power of it. It is connected to all emotions because music can influence all emotions. When I put a mix together, I feel that I’m sculpting and shaping a journey from all these wonderful sounds that I have in front of me, and I hope that the listener feels this too. Without music the world would be a silent and dark place.

Beach Radio | Organica Sessions - Episode 47 | 04.08.2023

Last month, I was blessed with an opportunity to purchase a new 4 channel DJ controller.  Then, I took a vested interest in actually reading the manual.  Once I felt comfortable, I thought it would be cool to put together a voice intro for my next mix.  All this culminated in a recording this afternoon of 30 tracks over 3 hours.  So I now present to you Episode 7 of the "Unwind Your Mind" series.
After listening to a ton of sets from DJ's and Producers who have inspired me over time, I hope I've been able to replicate some of those concepts on this new mix.  After the opener, there is always 2, sometimes 4 and mainly 3 tracks going at all times.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Microlot back to the label with his album "Singular Moments". Hailing from Australia, Luke Warren aka Mircolot has been a fixture of Australia's electronic underground for the better part of a decade. Noted for his evocative textures, organic grooves and dubby rhythmic structures, Microlot's craft shines through vividly, making each one of his creations an absorbing experience. On the strength of releases for Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, the Sydney resident made his Sound Avenue debut in 2021 with a remix of Madloch and Subnode's 'Utopia', a project which would lead to a two-track showcase via label affiliate Crossfade Sounds in 2022.

Microlot - Chasing Butterflies [Sound Avenue]

We welcome Julian Ibarra aka Julian Liander for the sixty-third edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series. Hailing from the vibrant musical hub of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Julian's journey into electronic music is as diverse as the beats he spins.

His passion for music began in childhood when he found solace in the acoustic strums of a guitar and the allure of his voice.  It was a chance introduction to electronic music luminaries like Solarstone, Aly & Fila, and JOC that ignited his fascination with the genre. Transitioning seamlessly into Progressive House, Julian found inspiration in the sounds of luminaries like Hernan Cattaneo, Digweed, and Guy J, shaping his artistic trajectory. For the past four years, Julian has been honing his craft as a producer. Although he treads lightly in the DJing realm, his focus remains steadfast on the production side, where his creativity knows no bounds.

His explorations traverse the vast landscape of House music, delving into the realms of organic and deep house. Downtempo beats find a special place in his heart, infusing his creations with a unique and soulful touch. He draws inspiration from artists like Satori, Guy J, Be Svendsen, Hernan Cattaneo, Makebo, and Lee Burridge. Julian's creative footprint spans across esteemed labels, including Souksonic, 3rd Avenue, RYNTH, Nordic Voyage, Flug Lab, Stellar Fountain, Droid9, Amitabha, Balkan Connection, and more.

His recent endeavours include a remix for Arteforma's "Silva" on 3rd Avenue, and an EP collaboration with Mauro Masi, featured in Sleeping Satellite's inaugural release, titled "How Sweet EP." Additionally, Julian's upcoming single under M-Sol Deep promises an Organic House odyssey, teasing his musical prowess slated for 2024. His music tells stories transcending language, inviting all souls to the dancefloor. Each track is a celebration, a testament to the blessings of shared moments, whether with friends or strangers.
