It's been a couple of years since i've done one of these, but with the amount of good music that's been released in 2013 i really couldn't resist putting in the effort. The tracks that made it in this mix are the ones that really stood out for me and managed to still sound fresh after many plays, i've decided not to approach this mix from a club perspective because i didn't want it to end up sounding like just another live recording. i've been working on the tracklist all year, so i hope you guys enjoy it even though i had to remove 4 tracks from the end as Ableton wouldn't let me bounce the project because it was too big... I decided to take this in a slightly different direction and lighten the tense feel of the original.
I wanted to give the vocals a bit more focus and put the horns to more use.
After much passing  between ideas I decided to combine and make them one.
What starts out as an old school hip hop joint moves into a crunchy reggae dancer.
There is a lot of original KJ recorded material in this rebuild (dudek, keys, drums, vibes, guitar, organ etc) as that's my style ;)
I had a blast working on this.

Zesik is a musician/producer from Athens Greece , producing abstract hip hop and jazzy beats.
In 2012 he started mainly producing hip hop beats but soon found his own way and started mixing various elements of different styles of music.

Known for his dusty instrumentals and the conceptual nature of his music, he has developed a unique style which embodies jazz chords and cinematic elements, balanced out with breakbeats and sampled sounds.
