This is intended to be the last Composition Practice. I want to say it confidently, but I know I might end up doing another one.

Actually, nevermind. I think I'll start actually naming my songs, and Composition Practice will be reserved for actually practicing a certain genre, sound, or... I don't know, drum pattern?

Since this is the 20th, as well as the last one, I wanted it to be special. And especially long. Sorry about that. I know it's kind of corny, but I wanted this song to be more of an experience. It took me a while to do, this was actually the first time I planned out a song. I wrote down in my notes what parts I wanted there to be, and weirdly enough, it help a lot with the production of
it. I also got a lot of new soundfonts, so that helped a TON.

There were a lot of scrapped parts in the song. You'll never hear them, but I scrapped them for a reason. I don't know why I'm so attached to holding onto things.

I also wanted to fit a southern/classic rock section in there that sounded like the menu screen from "Plok!", but I realized that it wouldn't fit anywhere. I'll probably do a song just based off of that.

Also also... I cannot believe I used to not add bass to my songs. I didn't wear headphones when making them, so it's understandable I guess, but they sounded so flat. That's why this one sounds a lot better.

As a conclusion to this very long description, I would say that this is my best work as of late 2025. I'm 15 at the moment, so I'm excited for what I'll be able to do in the future. I have a good feeling about the future.

This track's sounds are produced solely with outboard synths. I had a ton of fun making it although figuring out a good setup after working with only VSTi synths for years was very awkward and painful - but worth it! :)

In mixing, I still applied lots of the regular plugins.
