"Ashes of the Siren" by Vicky Prince, performed with Orpheus Vector, is a gothic symphonic metal and dark alternative rock fusion. The song blends haunting, poetic lyricism with heavy, anthemic instrumentation. Ethereal whispers and orchestral strings open the track, leading into tense verses carried by clean guitars and heartbeat percussion. The pre-chorus builds with layered harmonies and tom-driven intensity before exploding into a chorus of soaring vocals, distorted guitars, and backing screams. The lyrics evoke imagery of drowning, betrayal, and rebirth, framed through the metaphor of a siren’s call. Verses weave gothic storytelling with emotional vulnerability, while the choruses erupt in cathartic defiance.
