The latest release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music finds Gabriel Filip & Goda Brother returning for their second single. April of this year marked the duo’s label debut with the well received ‘Red Clouds’. Backed by a remix from Mind Conspiracy, the release earned the praise of melodic house and techno tastemakers, while also enjoying some time in Beatport’s sales chart. With releases via 3rd Avenue, BCSA, Droid9, Kitchen Recordings and Sound Avenue, both Gabriel and Goda Brother have etched their place in the progressive underground. Now they continue their collaborative work with a new single entitled ‘Crepuscular’ alongside a remix from Ziger. 

Beginning with the original mix the duo builds on their creative synergy with a powerful slice of astral techno. It’s warm, punchy beats and chugging groove carry a large presence, while waves of percussion and plonky arps advance the narrative. As momentum builds, sweeping effects, vocal wails and cross-cultural themes play off each other for dynamic moments. Free flowing into the break, a full vocal springs to life, adding drama and emotion to the proceedings, before eventually giving way to the thumping groove for a cosmic finale. 

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Crepuscular’ is Ziger. The Greek artist and Eat My Hat boss has continued to prosper across 2021 with key collaborations with Mind Conspiracy and Nosh & SJ, while also remixing Ric Niels for Movement Recordings. Now starting the summer season in fine style, Ziger returns to Eat My Hat with a huge interpretation of ‘Crepuscular’. Taking a cue from the original, the Greek artist reshapes the groove into a tighter, more compact wall of pulsating bass, as firing percussion and indistinct vocal fragments set the piece in motion. Growling sonics and heady effects play off each other across an exhilarating first act, perfectly setting up a short break to lift tension and reveal the vocal, before a suitably twisted finale ensues. A brilliant remix from Ziger which rounds out a welcome return to Eat My Hat Music for Gabriel Filip & Goda Brother. Don’t miss it.

After a remix done for JG Outsider and a contribution to our latest Various Artist compilation, we welcome DJ Andy De Gage' for a release on the label. "Dark Melody' is backed by a stunning remix coming from the fantastic Ziger. A master in his genre, progressive techno.
 The original mix of ‘Dark Melody' leads, laid out across a little over 6 minutes with a bumpy, swinging drum groove, airy pad swells, arpeggiated melodies and pulsating subs.
Ziger strips back the textural elements of the original with subtle nuance while introducing a more low-slung, minimalistic approach rhythmically. Adding a sublime, emotional vocal lines makes this one great dancefloor detonator. An anthem is ready to be unleashed upon the world.

Ziger’s Eat My Hat imprint returns welcoming Kenan Savrun to the label for his debut single. Hailing from Ankara, the Turkish artist has a long history as a DJ dating back to 2003, having shared the booth with Alex Niggemann, Eli & Fur, Andy Bros, Victor Ruiz and Oliver Huntemann. Upon releasing his first productions in September of last year, Kenan has since gone to showcase his music on 3rd Avenue, Soundteller Records, Stripped Digital and Stellar Fountain’s Astrowave. Now embarking on the most anticipated release of his career, Kenan makes his Eat My Hat debut with ‘Shivaya’ alongside remixes from Ziger & Simos Tagias.

Having already developed a uniquely mystical sound, Kenan has been hotly tipped as one of the progressive scene’s brightest new talents. That sentiment will surely grow with  ‘Shivaya’ delivering on a profound level. Built on a backbone of tough beats and a full, perfectly carved groove, the peak time sensibility is high from the outset. Tranquil yet energetic, it’s pulsating arps and percussive flurries add dynamic splashes as momentum builds. The narrative shifts during the break with a cross cultural vocal taking centrestage, bringing moments of soul and emotion, before a timely drop transfers energy into an exhilarating finale. 

The first interpretation of ‘Shivaya’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The Greek artist has had a tremendous summer season led by his ‘Faded Realm’ single which enjoyed a month long stay a top Beatport’s Progressive House Hype tracks chart. Add to that a Beatport Top 5 for his remix of Nosh & SJ’s ‘17:17’ also coming courtesy of Eat My Hat. Also laying claim to 2019 releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Eleatics Records, Ziger now lands back on his comfortable home of Eat My Hat with a superb rendition of ‘Shivaya’. Taking a cue from the original, the energy proves to be just as palpable here. A reworked groove ripples with powerful momentum as vocal fragments and dark stabs steal the air. Stripping down into the main break, wispy atmospherics add further intrigue before broken beats and a robust roll ignite a massive third act. 

The release concludes with Simos Tagias making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Shivaya’. The Greek artist has been one of his country’s brightest stars in progressive house with a discography that features releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Movement Recordings, Proton Music and Sound Avenue. Now fresh off an EP for D-Formation’s Beatfreak Recordings, Simos debuts on Eat My Hat with a superb interpretation of ‘Shivaya’. Opting for a tough, more techno inspired approach the Athens resident focuses on electric rhythms and pulsating designs, for a perfectly dialled peak time affair. The main break showcases a cascading motif, although indistinct it's emotive appeal is strong, building in waves before the final act unleashes the full vocal for an epic finale. A massive remix from Simos which caps off another incredible release for Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music. Highly recommended.

Harris Zigeridis aka ZIGER is one of the main representatives of high quality electronic dance music in Greece. Born in 1981 in Thessaloniki & later raised in Athens, he has discovered his passion for Electronic music as a teenager soon deciding to experience himself into Music Production. 

The new millenium has brought the first results in his home-studio, while a couple of years later he signed his first release. The story could be already figured out, when in 2003 he started his studies in Music Technology & Computer Programming with the result to invest in his home studio & focus into producing fresh beats & pieces, influenced by the modern progressive genres in House, Techno & Trance back then.

His first big moment came in the late '00s, after remixing Yves Larock gaining big attention by important people of the industry, stepping into the '10s energized and more promising than any other time in his musical life. The last few years, Ziger's music on labels like Sudbeat, Plattenbank,Eleatics, Joof,Movement Recordings, Outta Limits, ao.. can be highly recommended by top Artists of the global Dance Music Industry including the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, Jerome Isma-Ae, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Petar Dundov, Henry Saiz,   D-nox, ao..

His experience as a DJ/live act hails from back in the '00s in the good-ol' scene of Athens. Studiowise, he's collaborated with some great artists like Quivver,Van Bellen, David Granha, Luke Porter, Weekend Heroes, Andrea Bertolini, ao.. His studio-upgrade & newer philosophy into the electronic music world together with his experience have lead him on paths of major events & festivals in Greece with a bunch of upcoming shows around Europe & further, while being focused creating new bombs in his studio..
