Ajinkya Gaikwad from Mumbai,India, is the illustrious mind behind Psychotic Neuroscientist and Karmasutraa and also the 3D Visual Mapping project VJ Shiveye.
His first DJ project, 'Psychotic Neuros​cienti​st', now with Groove Poetry Records started off in 2007.
This project focuses primarily on the sound design element that gives night time psytrance its distinct character- heavy basslines, hypnotic drones, stompy grooves and eery atmosp​heres. Early influences were artists like Naked Tourist, Dark Soho, Neuromotor, Baphomet Engine to name a few. Further on, with the development of the Dark music scene, his style evolved to artists like Blisargon Demogorgon, Fobi, Claw, Lab and many more.
Soon after, in 2010, noticing an evident change in the music scene and also the various sub-genres of Psytrance that had cropped up, he decided to go ahead with his next DJ project ' Karmas​utraa'.
The idea behind this project was to bring forth the oldschool psytrance which seemed to have become less common at parties and renew it with a new vigour.The influences for this project varied from the stalwarts of Psytrance like Shiva Shidapu, Astral Projection, Juno Reactor, Melicia, DNA, Audiotec to the newer, groovier artists like Ajja, Aphid Moon, Psiloc​ybian, Manmademan etc. 
One can expect this DJ set to swing from Old school Goa mixed with new age kick drums and basslines to Psychedelic Progressive festival sound and finally go upto the crystal sound of modern psytrance.
Both these projects collec​tively have shared stage with established artists and DJs from around the world such as 1200 Mics, Astral Projec​tion,S​hiva Joerg,​EVP,De​moniac Insomniac, Braindrop, Kerosene club, Twisted Kala, Fuzulu, Baba jaja, Shiva Shidapu, Dark Shiva, Silence Projekt, Anita Shanti, Shivattva, Nocturnal Project, Raumte​chnik, Nitro & Glycerine, Tribal Mutant, Wario, Maxim, Necmi, Almost Human, Chroma​derma, Audiogramme etc
In 2010, he completed his Degree in Audio Engineering from Sound Ideaz Academy, a prestigious Music recording and post production Studio cum institute in Mumbai. Since then, he started to develop his skills as a freelance Sound designer for games and also began his foray into music production.
He currently lives in Goa, India where he has set up his music production studio and sound design lab.
He has played at various wellknown clubs and venues such as-

Nepal- Pokhara
Goa - Club Westend, UV Bar, Hippies, Shiva Valley, Big Banana, Curlies, 9 Bar, Buble Brunch, Primrose and also 5 star venues like Taj Vivanta.
Himachal Pradesh- Tosh, Kasol and Old Manali
Mumbai- Red Light, Rock bottom
Kodaikanal- Karma

He also has a VJ project called VJ Shiv-eye which he started in 2012, and has also performed at a host of venues and festivals all over India such as the ones mentioned above.
His most recent achiev​ement(​August 2014)was playing in the Swiss forests near Dornac​h,Base​l, Switzerland followed by a wonderful, life changing experience at the Boom festival and Utopia Gathering in Portugal where he was introduced to variety of fellow tribes and their varying musical styles.
This latest experience has now opened for him a fresh new perspective of looking at psytrance and electronic music and also the psychedelic culture as a whole.
