ZiggyMortars is an MC who rekindled his passion for music upon his return home from Afghanistan in early 2012. His unique style of hip hop produces a sound influenced by genres ranging from dance, right through to progressive rock. Known for his lyrical content his songs have the ability to tell a story through music. His debut single ‘Warsong’ quickly became well known throughout the Australian Defence Force and was hailed as the ‘I was only 19’ of the Afghanistan conflict. While playing live Ziggy is backed up by his primary producer ‘Recon aka The RE’ who is renowned for his production skill. Over the years ZIggy has had the honour of playing alongside artists such as Urthboy, Hermitude, TZU, Lazy Grey, Dialectrix and Kryptamistik.
