Encapsulating deep euphoric rhythms free the feet from any stiff stance. Gifted colour elates the mind. His completely live sets are created on the fly, reading a dance-floor and directing the journey for which he invites your mind to lead. He has come a long way since Bassic discovering him in 2014, recently working with / remixed by Retza & Thankyou City on an EP that reached the Top 10 Deep House Beatport charts (courtesy of our close friends at Open Records.) Performing at Australia's best festivals and venues with on-par artistic allies. Doppel is doing it well. We are very excited for his July EP on Bassic and excited to have him play with us in Sydney for the first time since his earliest days.

• Somersault • "Euphotic" EP Launch

Wandering through a volume of emotive voices, exploring uplifting melodies to dirty, dark-room sounds, grounded by perfected tone and clean, gripping production. Highlighting progressive elements and a strong groove, Somersault lifts crowds to his level, then bobs his knees a little for high spirited hustle. Playing a highlight set of Subsonic's kick off afternoon on the river stage, a recent visit to Brisbane headlining Capulet and an upcoming east coast tour in time for his "Euphotic" EP, it's hard to look past this gem shining through Sydney's tech house scene.

• ZigMon • Goodbye Set

Bassic's big dog Zig has been busy lately, to say the least. Things aren't changing there but his location certainly is. Due for Europe at the beginning of May, ZigMon is on board for a seriously solid send off, saying goodbye to Sydney, the Aus scene and his second home Slyfox for 6 months. If you've seen the Mon play before you know what you're in for, which is that you don't really ever know what you're in for - Spinning web between dreamy deep melodic, prodigious progressive, some tearing techno, cheeky tech house jaunts, and short arrays of elated or obscure perks and vocals, forming foreseeable and original excitement. Here's the recording from my set at the River Stage at Subsonic 2016. My set time ended up being from 4-6pm on the Friday afternoon. It was great to play to such a big, vibrant crowd who were full of energy and up for anything.

Live @ Subsonic Music Festival 2.12.2016

Wow, what an incredible few weeks it was in Thailand. Immersing myself in the culture and experiencing levels of kindness and generosity I didn't realise whole peoples could be capable of. Me and my partner fell in love with the country and cannot wait to go back. The beaches, the food, the pina coladas! (oh so many)

The festival was of course another huge amazing experience for me being the first international gig I had played. I was blown away by the production of the festival, over the moon when I found out only days before it that I had been moved from the second stage to the monstrous main stage. With this set I aimed to deliver something unique to the festival; a touch of Australia, a touch of Bassic and a touch of me.

A big thank you to my amazing girlfriend who I travelled with and supports me endlessly in my musical journeys <3

Leading out of Lane 8 on the Sunday night, main stage, at Rabbits Eat Lettuce, was one of our most prized discovery's, Doppel. Playing an all original live set kicking off the Bassic Records session, Doppel dove down with us into the monster Shipwreck, his music evolving in a beautiful syncopation with the expanding energy of the crowd. Seamless evolution through sound, is a true journey in which a listener must surrender themselves to the uncontrollable urge to dance. 

Doppel's set at Rabbits Eat Lettuce 2017 features; Bassic Records releases, including his Misty Moon remix as the opener; hints of his upcoming EP; his hit "Melt" released by Open Records and unreleased material for some amazing labels that continue to expand the endless horizon of Doppel.
