BIOGRAFÍA

Integrado por Whilhem Cásarez como único miembro desde su inicio, quien crea la música, las letras y los conceptos tanto literario como gráfico, este proyecto inicia en Diciembre de 1999 con el nombre de su creador: Whilhem, en el que se conjuntan diversos géneros y estilos musicales como el Atmosférico, el Etéreo, el New Age, el Gótico, el Industrial, el Dark, el Electrónico y la Música Clásica así como barroca.
En 1998, con el nombre de “Cisnea”, previo a llamarse como en la actualidad, con un concepto poco similar al de ahora, pero con voz femenina y un estilo más atmosférico, Ziguryha adquiere un estilo que afianzó lo que posteriormente, en el 2004 trascendió a lo que es ya conocido y reconocido. 

El nombre de “Ziguryha” proviene de un concepto de la cosmogonía de Tukhfe (cosmogonía solar y lunar) que simboliza y significa “lugar cósmico de vida y existencia espiritual”, también esta entidad es conocida como un lugar mágico de Ángeles Blancos. La relación de este nombre, extraído de escritos de literatura antigua pagana, se debe a que tal proyecto es tan diverso en sus composiciones, tanto musicales como conceptuales, sustentándose en su carácter espiritual y existencial.

Como un proyecto ya consolidado, Ziguryha cuenta con 1 demo,  19 álbumes editados, 6 EP´s de corta duración, 3 producciones en vivo y 2 recopilaciones, todos creados, producidos y maquilados de manera independiente. De este modo, en Marzo del 2012 comenzará la grabación de su veinteavo disco, el cual ya cuenta con un sonido más fino, estable, maduro y mejorado al concepto anterior.

Las influencias más distinguibles de Ziguryha, sonora y conceptualmente son, en su mayoría, parte de la inspiración de este proyecto tan ecléctico como éstas: Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Vangelis, Enya, Yanni, Enigma, Kitaro, Stoa, Chandeen, Mike Oldfield, Elend, Pink Floyd, Marillion, Funkervogt, A-Ha, Tear Four Fears, October Proyect, etc.
