Z-Infinity Volume 1: Sense of Purpose

Z-Infinity Mixtape Volume 1: Sense of Purpose was created between November 2012 and November 2013 during a time of profound transitions in my life.  Never before had I been so prolific and inspired as I was that year and continue to be now.  Rather than wait for original beats by my usual producers, I selected my favorite instrumentals from my favorite producers and began writing.  Since lyrical creativity was pumping through me at a rapidly prolific rate , the mixtape approach made the most sense to get my songs out and showcase my talent and well crafted skill as a lyricist and MC(Yes, I ROCK shows and MOVE live crowds! I am not just a studio rapper! Recognize the true MC's!)

In November 2012 when I began writing this album, I also became the coordinator of a large After School program at a Middle School in Eureka. This was an amazing job opportunity that provided a modest living wage for my wife and I and a decent level of health benefits that I hadn't had access to for years.  Getting a good job like this in Humboldt County is like finding a needle in a hay stack.  As if I couldn't be more blessed, my Wife and I got pregnant in the Spring 2013.  My life was filled with so many new, positive emotions.  The universe was entrusting me with great responsibilities and opportunities to have real, meaningful impact on many peoples lives as well as bring a new life into this world.  What an honor!  Simultaneously,  the universe was filling my soul, body, and mind with words and rhymes that flowed out of me naturally, confidently, prolifically, and with a SENSE OF PURPOSE (hence the title of the album).  I accepted all of these responsibilities humbly and with grace, making mistakes along the way, but trying my best. This album captures the stories, thoughts, feelings, and perceptions of this critical transition period in my life, and for this I am truly grateful.  I hope this album will serve my children, grand children, and great grand children well and connect them with their past, their innate powers, and timeless wisdom to help guide their paths.  It is my sincere honor to offer these songs to the world.  I hope you enjoy listening.
