Late summer 2017, at the Jolly Farmers in Purley, Tony was in the house band, Alan and Ken were there on an evening’s r+r... along comes Paul and asks to do a spot.
So, Tony, Paul, Ken and Alan jumped up and did 3 songs off the cuff and totally unrehearsed... Paul introduced us as “The Rum & Reggae Boys”, a name he must have been thinking of for some time. This was a “Hmmmm” moment... numbers were swapped, and when the time was right, the guys got together and started to knock a few tunes into shape. Now, a few months later, The Rum & Reggae Boys are out and gigging in all the good places! 

In September 2023 we replaced Tony with Michal on guitar, he's been with us for over a year now.
