30 years ago the Internet did not publicly exist, yet today our lives are dominated by its presence. With one click away from searching anything that comes to our minds we can instantly reach the information desired.

The Internet impacts not only the way we archive information, but also the way we remember and process our own memories. The cartoons and toy commercials I used to watch on VHS tapes in my childhood are now easily accessible to browse on YouTube. 

I enjoyed watching toys commercials from the 80s as much as the cartoon they preceded because of their simple yet entertaining plots, catchy jingles and dazzling visuals.

Comparing to nowadays fast-paced and forgettable ads, they had a considerable time, effort and a meaning put behind.

This project revives some of the loveliest memories of my childhood and contrasts them with today’s disposable commercials that annoyingly pop-up everywhere on the web.
