this is the 7th chapter in a series of mixes called 'trust me i was there' - these are the tracks that were getting played on pirate radio in london and in the clubs i was going to and playing at.

My best guess for the date on this set would be 16th May 1992 as it features similar tracks as the Eclipse '12' tape from 8th May 1992 but it could have reasonably been from another event in June 1992 (there don't seem to be any Eclipse flyers for June 1992 on Phatmedia currently).

On 22nd September, 1990, Amnesia House put on their final event at the Sky Blue Connexion, Ryton nr Coventry, with DJ's Dobbo, Top Buzz, Keith Suckling, Doc Scott, Andy Carroll, Grooverider & Frankie Bones all playing blinding sets. This also happened to be the first legal rave I attended.....

About the CD:
005 of the Classic Mix CD Series on Soundcloud. Another from 1996 which is probably lesser well known and even lesser played, but without doubt one of the most memorable CDs in my collection. It comes from the sublime MixMag Live series and features Roger Sanchez aka S-Man when he was at the height of his powers (or just approaching them) and the legendary DJ Pierre. I always remember tracks like "Fill Me" and "Time to Stop" from Sanchez and the euphoric "Freestyle Groove" by Full Swing... engulfing me in the US house sound. Seminal music which will never be forgotten.
