Tracks from the game 'Combat Cars', released on the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis in 1994.

Recorded from a real SEGA Mega Drive (Model 1, PAL, VA4) by drsPascal.

Made during a 5-day period up in Trondheim/Norway since the only dev-kit for the Mega Drive was located there. Composed in Musicline Editor on the Amiga and then coded into pure source code since there never was an editor made for it. The player engine was created by the main coder during a weekend a couple of weeks earlier and didn't have any features at all besides the basic ones like notes and note lengths (plus pauses and such, of course). All other sound tweaks needed to be done within the instruments, which also were very limited.

Scarzix & Ziphoid - Syntax Eruption

Concocted with love and care for the Amiga by ALPA & Ziphoid in Stockholm, Sweden, March 2024 using PT2 Clone by 8bitbubsy on macOS.

Part of the ChipChop 17 compilation by Desire and also submitted to the Oldskool Music Compo at Revision 2024 where it placed #6. Original module file size is 40028 bytes and will be available for download soonish™.

Dedicated to the fallen heroes Acryd & MBB as well as all the party organizers out there keeping the scene alive!

Since I actually never have released a Protracker track before (only Sound- and Noisetracker as well as all sorts of other weird formats), I felt it was time to do something and see if I couldn't get something going. Hence, I asked ALPA if he wanted to do a collaboration and since he had an old sketch lying around by its lonesome, I took it in and started twiddling on extending it. Luckily, we found out that we are VERY compatible when it comes to harmonies and melodies and I believe the end result turned into a true blend of both of us and I feel very happy about it. This is not the last track we'll do together, that's for sure!

Back in the saddle

A Commodore 64 SID track made for the Razor 1911 demo '$777' released at the Revision demoparty in 2015. Mostly composed at the party place.

This is the party version, since there never became any final version, sadly enough. Who knows, maybe in the future... :)

Everlasting Heroes

A proposed ending theme for the Amiga game Fuzzball, that in the end was never used. I found this when going through my old HDD from the Amiga and rendered it using the preview version of HippoPlayer (https://github.com/HippoPlayer/HippoPlayer) so it's not rendered straight from an Amiga.

The track was written in 1991 in pure Assembler using a play routine created by Frederic Hahn. The original Fuzzball music was created with a previous version of the same routine, that actually featured an editor, which this one didn't. This routine was also used a few times by Maniacs of Noise.

Here's a twist... What do you do when you get hold of some samples from the Commodore 64 but you feel your main machine is an Amiga? You make a .mod with them, of course. Even though this would probably have sounded better on the actual C64 instead... :D

Either way, it turned into a jolly and happy tune that basically hasn't been released until now, so here you go...

Last save of this file seems to have been made on 1990-08-07, so a healthy 30 years ago... :D

Sidmemory...

Made in half an hour during the holidays of 2006. ReFX had released a free sound pack for their Nexus VSTi called "Christmas" and I just took the sounds of that and plinketyplunked this one together. It's not really a remix of Flimbo's Quest, but it contains a bit of it, at least... :P

Can't really say I'm proud of it, but I do like the completely offset bell chiming extremely occasionally... ;)
