I don't really have much to say about today's full moon. Sometimes you don't need to have anything to say either. And that's absolutely okay. We all go through difficult times and it's exhausting. But in such times there are things that bring you joy. For me, it's spring. It's getting warmer, days are getting longer and Berlin is getting a different color. What also always brings me joy is music.

For the second year in a row, I can't go to Tankwa Town. I was frustrated and disappointed but at the same time, I was driven by the urge to get something positive out of the situation, so I created this set. These tracks have a major emotional meaning for me. Now I used them to bring a piece of AfrikaBurn to Berlin. And maybe also to you?

Freude Im Wald | Freudelfitz 2020

I don't think much of resolutions, yet they motivate me. I started my year doing more meditation, more yoga and a juice diet. Spirituality and music should also find more place in my everyday life this year. Therefore, I am setting a milestone this year and it starts today. For each full moon in 2021, I’ll dedicate a DJ Set. Since we are celebrating the first full moon this year and while everyone still is in lockdown, I wanted to save our energy a bit and put together a more relaxed and down-tempo set with for you. 

A full moon ritual may of course not be missing. The ritual can be used for a lot, for instance, to leave old burdens behind in order to direct the focus back to the essentials.

Today I am saying goodbye to my impatience. Like most of you, I can't wait to finally do what I've been longing for, for months: living unrestricted, no more reduced circumstances. 
Since being impatient currently only weighs me down more, I'm letting it go. I stay calm, enjoy what I have and try to turn my impatience into anticipation.

Spiritualized Interlude

In the last few weeks I have noticed how important time is in our lives and at the same time how unimportant the here and now is to us. We really only move in the past and in the future. Yet the here and now is the only thing we have. For today's full moon I want to leave behind what belongs to the past and let the future come to me and just be in the presence.

SPIRITUALIZED #2

With 12 she listened to rock music and played guitar. Futhermore her interest for music was ignited when she discovered that she had Synesthesia, a neurological condition that in her case perceives sounds and melodies as colors and shapes. After moving to Berlin in 2013 at the age of 20, Zişan began discovering the electronic dance scene and got introduced to a wonder of new rhythms and sounds. Since 2019 she started DJing in clubs and festivals. Her Turkish roots shines through her track selection and it is indeed an oriental express of a journey that Zişan puts her audience on. Latest Zişan started a new monthly running mix project “SPIRITUALIZED“, a full moon ritual touching the theme of each full moon meaning.
