Today’s very special mix. I didn’t know of this artist until around a little over a year ago. I found this artist  by discovering what’s now one of my favorite record labels ever - Liquid Sound Design @liquidsounddesign
I came back on the grid literally not figuratively in Jan 2017 after being off & gone away for 2.5 yrs. 
I was wondering what one of my fav. bands The Egg 🥚were doing these days; our band Spangle Head had opened up for them 3 times in 1994  UK as well as bumping into each other at #woodstock94 inadvertently we both played. 
 I had lost track of them & Ozrics & that whole British music scene since moving back to NY from UK 95. There was no internet back then u see. So I Googled THE EGG 
& found them on LSD Bandcamp. After that randomly on  YouTube one night I heard this DEEP ELECTRONIC⚡️ acid ambienttechno psydub ambientdub  that stopped me in my tracks literally . Up till this point I wasn’t aware of this new psybient scene or any of it - Shpongle never heard of it. This album  Into Sonic States randomly came on & I was like wow who the Hell is this - that’s the Biggest Production Sound I think I’ve ever heard & Best New type of Dub music; I’ve heard in 25 yrs. I didn’t know what psydub or any of this was. Turned out to be this guy named Gabriel Le Mar totally blew me away. 2 days after that experience I got an unexpected friend acceptance from Gab Le Mar - I hadn’t remember even sending it; I had no idea who he was. I was like wow that’s some crazy synchronicity. So I introduced myself & told him my experience, hearing his music for first time recently & how impressed - knocked out I was. He was very polite & cordial & appreciative. I knew he was a real musician & not one of these electronic DJ posers when I posted about James Jamerson from Motown he responded to the post. Course Gab is a guitarist. Make a long story short; we became friends, I bravely mentioned to him I had 3 tracks on #forevershpongled as Zman8 & he could check it out if he wanted. Now I’m so glad to call Gabriel a friend. As far as friends go, u won’t find anyone more genuine. Especially in this music business or life in general. He has continued to be there for me like an older brother & completely gracious if I’m confused technically or spiritually & emotionally about all this music & scene etc. & ask him questions. He always lays it out either elaborately & will break it all down like a scientist with an analogy to the construction of a Alfred Hitchcock plot to talk about disclosing publicly what music Gear u use  or with one sentence to the point he’ll alleviate my emotional turmoil by just getting to the heart 💜 of the matter.
