"Minimum Viable Product" (MVP) is an incremental Compilation to be built over the year by Detonic Recordings. Each Month an on-line single will be published with an "A" and "B" side from each of the international artists participating in the project..At the end of the year the complete compilation (Vinyl and CD) will be released featuring the exclusive tracks from each contributor.

The Abysm

Chorus represents the apex of the five albums recorded by French saxophonist/flutist Michel Roques during his almost twenty-year career. It is both one of the key albums mixing free jazz and spoken word ‘à la française’ and also a militant concept album which has lost nothing of its political force.  What you can hear is the rhythm section of pianist Mal Waldron’s Parisian trio from the end of the sixties, namely Patrice Caratini (bass) and Franco Manzecchi (drums), seconded by Jean-Charles Capon (cello) and Humberto Canto (percussions). Add to this magic formula a voice bringing life to the beat-style poemsand the result is a record full of spirituality where the vocals inherited from Afro-American preachers are pitched against the wild improvisations.
