Лишен съм от вяра и затова не мога да бъда щастлив. Човек, живеещ в опасение че животът му прилича на абсурдно странстване към сигурна смърт, няма как да бъде щастлив.
Не наследих нито Божество, нито място под небето, където да привлека вниманието на Божеството.  Не наследих и добре прикритата настървеност на скептика, хитростта на рационалиста, или пламенната наивност на атеиста. 

Следователно не бих могъл да обвиня нито тези, които вярват в съмнителни неща, нито тези, обградени от мрака на битието вярват в съмнението. Обвинението ще достигне и мен, понеже съм убеден в следното: Нуждата от утеха, която изпитва всяко човешко същество не може да бъде удовлетворена.
Колкото до мен, аз диря утехата като ловец, дебнещ диво животно. Когато зърна сянката и в гората - стрелям. Много често изстрелите ми пропускат целта си, но понякога плячката пада в краката ми. Знам, че този миг продължава колкото полъха на вятъра в короната на дърво, затова мигновено се вкопчвам за улова. 

Какво държат ръцете ми в този миг?
Понеже съм самотен: любима жена, или нещастен спътник.
Понеже съм поет: лък от думи от щастие и яростно опъната тетива.
Понеже съм затворник: неочаквано съзерцание на свободата.
Понеже съм осъден на смърт: топлината на диво животно, френетично биещо сърце.
Понеже морето е заплаха: къс гранитен монолит.

Но има и такива утехи, които идват към мен без покана и пълнят стаята ми с омразен шепот:
Аз съм удоволствието ти: обичай всички!
Аз съм таланта ти: Използвай ме по същия лош начин, както правиш със себе си!
Аз съм твоят жуисанс: Изживей насладата си сам!
Аз съм самотата ти: Ненавиждай човека!
Аз съм аспирацията ти към смъртта: Режи!

Ръбът на бръснача е остър. Две заплахи висят над живота ми: от прегладнелите бездънни уста на лакомията и от самозадоволяващата се примка на огорчението. Но отказвам да избера между оргия и аскетизъм, дори и да трябва да понеса огнените изтезанията на собствените си желания. Това че не сме свободни не оправдава всяко наше действие.
Аз не търся извинение в живота си а точно обратното: опрощение.
Накрая до мен достига прозрението, че всяка утеха, която не включва свободата ми е лъжлива, че е огледален образ на моето отчаяние. Това е и гласът на обезверяването: Губи доверие, защото всеки ден е примирие между две нощи, а лъжливата утеха крещи: Не губи надежда, всяка нощ е примирие между два дни.

Но човечеството има нужда от по-голяма утехата - от просветление. И нека този, който желае да се превърне в човек, приемащ всички свои жестове и действия за неоспорими, тоест да се поквари - нека има поне добрината да извести когато приключи с това.

Никой не е способен да изброи всички случаи, в които утехата е необходима. Както никои не знае кога е точният момент, в който здрачът се спуска, така и животът не е математически проблем, който може да бъде решен разделяйки светлината чрез мрака и дните с нощите. Животът е едно непредвидимо пътешествие между несъществуващи дестинации. Разхождайки се по брега, неспирното движение на морето и неуловимото бягство на вятъра хвърлят смразяващо предизвикателство към съществуването ми. Какво е в този миг времето, ако не утеха за факта, че всичко човешко е преходно, каква жалка мизерия, от която могат да забогатеят единствено Швейцарците!

Мога да стоя пред огнището, в най-отдалечената от опасностите на външния свят стая и въпреки това да усетя прегръдката на смъртта. Прикрита в огъня, във всички остри предмети покрай мен, в теглото на покрива и стените; скрита във водата и снега, в топлината и в кръвта ми. Какво остава тогава от човешкото чувство за сигурност ако не утехата, че смъртта е най-близкото нещо на живота, и колко жалка утеха е това, припомняйки ни онова, което искаме да забравим!

Beam yourself up to the golden age when, while mainstream techno was turning into its capitalistic opposite, the truly free were kicking it in the dirt. It's time again.

Foundation and Early Years (1993–2003)

In 1993, DJ Zodiak (Marc Pulles) founded Zodiak Commune (partyorganisation), initially as a spontaneous rave after a birthday party. The collective quickly became a legendary force in the Dutch electronic underground. Zodiak was the driving force behind Zodiak Commune parties, a central figure in shaping the second wave of underground Acid and Electro in the Netherlands.

Foundation and Early Years (1998–2003)

Zodiak Commune Records (the label) was founded in 1998 by DJ Zodiak as the label arm of the Zodiak Commune collective. From the start, the label was vinyl-first, representing the raw and innovative spirit of Acid music.

The label released tracks covering the breadth of underground acid styles, including Acid Techno, Electro Acid, and Acid IDM, and quickly became recognized as an influential player in the Dutch electronic underground, helping to shape and sculpt the scene.

Between 1998 and 2003, the label also organized Zodiak Commune Records label parties at major cultural venues, including Effenaar (Eindhoven), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), 013 (Tilburg), and other locations across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Slower Phase (2003–2017)

After Zodiak stepped back as a DJ and transferred the Zodiak Commune party organization to a non-profit foundation in 2003, the label entered a slower period. Releases were less frequent, but Zodiak Commune Records remained active and respected in the underground scene.

Revival and Expansion (2017–Present)
------------------------------------
In 2017, Zodiak fully reactivated the label, returning with renewed energy and focus. Since then, Zodiak Commune Records has expanded its activities and built a strong international presence, while remaining true to its vinyl-first Acid identity.

The label now operates multiple sub-labels, including:
* Deep Acid Records – Electro House–oriented
* Outlaw303 – Raw Acid and Electro Acid
* Same Size Soul – Pure Electro
This structure allows the label to explore different underground sounds while staying deeply rooted in the Acid movement.

Zodiak Commune Records places a strong emphasis on supporting new talent alongside established artists, providing a platform for fresh voices in the scene. The team behind the label includes:
* Zodiak (Marc Pulles) – founder & head
* Chris Nexus Six– artwork and visual identity
* Paul Renard – Acid- House & Techno focus – Deep Acid & Zodiak Commune Records
* DJ Feryne – Electro focus – Same Size Soul & Zodiak Commune Records

Together, the team continues to push the underground Acid and Electro movement forward, with the label standing as one of the most consistent and respected names in the European Acid scene.

Looking ahead, Zodiak Commune Records plans to resume label parties, continuing the tradition of live events that showcase their artists and connect directly with the underground community.

Since 2003, Zodiak Commune (the party organization) and Zodiak Commune Records (the label) have been completely separate entities, each with its own team and activities. Zodiak remains fully involved with the label but is no longer connected to the party organization.
