Our community has been around for a few years now (2018), and we're proud to be celebrating two years of our young label! 🎂

Dalmata Daniel's third LP comes from Rapha, marking his return to the label after contributing to its split and compilation series. Known for bold acid treatments and dark, futuristic tones, Rapha takes his craft to new heights on Midnight Dancer, which also features remixes by CT Kidobó and PRZ.

The album opens with 'I Win U Win', pulling listeners into an adventure of pulsing basslines and cosmic, minimal electro. CT Kidobó’s remix then twists it into a darker, seductive French-inspired club sound. The third track, '...And Them', continues the journey of the opener with mechanical beats and textured soundscapes, while 'Alien Dance' highlights Rapha's signature sharp, distinct style—leaving a strong mark on the deep electro club scene.

On the flip side, 'Midnight Dancer' plunges into a hypnotic realm of haunting echoes and distorted rhythms, with heavy basslines reverberating through the darkest corners of the mind. PRZ’s remix of the title track retains the original groove but adds a cleaner, equally impulsive electro edge—perfect for the club. Konerytmi - Moottoritie EP [No Static / Automatic // NSA009]

The next release on Ara-u’s No Static / Automatic comes from Konerytmi aka Kiril Junolainen. The Konerytmi project began in 2020 combining electro, techno and acid sounds with a gliding and clean-edged production aesthetic. On Moottoritie EP he channels in the energy and flow of traversing the speed-limitless autobahn while giving a cool nod to the aesthetic of Scandinavian electro sounds a la Stilleben Records.

First track Japanin-Automoto rolls in on a punchy groove, and builds itself up on squelching melodies, celestial synths and singing vocoders. Moottoritie was one of the first tracks produced under the Konertymi alias over 4 years ago (as is Vainio) and brings in the essence of a motorway experience as it speeds in with screeching sounds and bounces onwards on a melodic and playful bassline. 

The pace ups with Transmitteri, a driving and punching peak time number with a turning and evolving acid melody line. Vainio takes us onwards to a darker and deeper destination, with a tunnelling intensity to close the EP - mixing tightly formed beats with song-like melodies as is the foundation of this surgically crafted release.

Here, amidst the ruins, lies the potential for rebirth. RAIN OF RUIN is a narrative of personal destruction and eventual transcendence through an unrelenting storm of noise, distortion, and emotional release. It is out of the deepest depth that the highest must come to its height. sch_tsch is the project of the Zurich-based Polish artist, active as a music producer, live act, DJ and host of dark electronics nights SCHOEN. Her live performances
combine raw machine sounds, brutal basslines and obscured vocals, oscillating between industrial, techno and body music.

For our next premiere I’m happy to present a track from Australian producers Assembler Code and Jensen Interceptor from a new EP on @InternationalChrome

After a successful run of releases along-side @jensen-interceptor on labels such as @Cultivated-Electronics, @PrivatePersons & @BoysNoizeRecords, Assembler Code is flying solo with this 4 track Electro vinyl entitled 'Mental Escape'.

The track from this EP that was selected to debut for @DarkScienceElectro features his old partner in crime Jensen Interceptor coming on board for a 7-minute ride to open up the B-side of the record. 'Type 2' is a classic case of past meets present. Scrapyard industrial groove ready to destroy speakers at your next warehouse party. This track really shines with its use of classic Electro rhythms and lead arpeggios while still maintaining a mysterious vibe that is sure to please EBM, Industrial, Electro and Techno fans alike.

Foundation and Early Years (1993–2003)

In 1993, DJ Zodiak (Marc Pulles) founded Zodiak Commune (partyorganisation), initially as a spontaneous rave after a birthday party. The collective quickly became a legendary force in the Dutch electronic underground. Zodiak was the driving force behind Zodiak Commune parties, a central figure in shaping the second wave of underground Acid and Electro in the Netherlands.

Foundation and Early Years (1998–2003)

Zodiak Commune Records (the label) was founded in 1998 by DJ Zodiak as the label arm of the Zodiak Commune collective. From the start, the label was vinyl-first, representing the raw and innovative spirit of Acid music.

The label released tracks covering the breadth of underground acid styles, including Acid Techno, Electro Acid, and Acid IDM, and quickly became recognized as an influential player in the Dutch electronic underground, helping to shape and sculpt the scene.

Between 1998 and 2003, the label also organized Zodiak Commune Records label parties at major cultural venues, including Effenaar (Eindhoven), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), 013 (Tilburg), and other locations across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Slower Phase (2003–2017)
------------------------------------
After Zodiak stepped back as a DJ and transferred the Zodiak Commune party organization to a non-profit foundation in 2003, the label entered a slower period. Releases were less frequent, but Zodiak Commune Records remained active and respected in the underground scene.

Revival and Expansion (2017–Present)
------------------------------------
In 2017, Zodiak fully reactivated the label, returning with renewed energy and focus. Since then, Zodiak Commune Records has expanded its activities and built a strong international presence, while remaining true to its vinyl-first Acid identity.

The label now operates multiple sub-labels, including:
* Deep Acid Records – Electro House–oriented
* Outlaw303 – Raw Acid and Electro Acid
* Same Size Soul – Pure Electro
This structure allows the label to explore different underground sounds while staying deeply rooted in the Acid movement.

Zodiak Commune Records places a strong emphasis on supporting new talent alongside established artists, providing a platform for fresh voices in the scene. The team behind the label includes:
* Zodiak (Marc Pulles) – founder & head
* Chris Nexus Six– artwork and visual identity
* Paul Renard – Acid- House & Techno focus – Deep Acid & Zodiak Commune Records
