"Distilled affiliate and 1020 resident, Kristi, lays down a trifecta of kaleidoscopic club hitters, on his debut Canapé release ‘Harrikane’.

Hailing from Bristol—via London and Norway—the 20 year old DJ/Producer bolts out of the blocks with explosive A-side ‘Harrikane’: fizzing electronics and verb-drenched rave stabs seamlessly interweave over Kristi’s sharpened breakbeat.

Contrast is exquisitely explored with B1, ’In Transition’: a Balearic-tinged journey down the celestial autobahn. Playful acid leads bounce off rolling percussion at a cool 122bpm, that feels like it could gyrate forever.

‘Harrikane (B-Mix)’ is a suitably relentless closer: a bubbling Tech-House interpretation of its A-side counterpart, guaranteed to stimulate dance floors. A kinetic club weapon. A real jaw-clencher, if you will."

"The enigmatic Benson Streaker returns to Canapé this summer with a sweltering four-track 12”: ‘Ulterior Guidance’.

Transcending the woozy microcosm of breakbeat and electronica established on his label debut [CNP015 - ‘The Body / Something’s Not Right’], CNP020 sees Streaker push his sound into opulent technicolour.

Amid a wash of psychedelic hues, A1 (’Strange Operator’) beckons with an irresistibly saturated tech-house skip. Seatbelts are advised, as Benson’s heart-throb 4x4 propels us to a strange, yet loving, astral plane.

A2 illustrates a co-existence of sophistication and minimalism rarely found in post-millennial house music; an otherworldly vocal (courtesy of Ursula Rucker) is glued effortlessly with Streaker’s understated percussion, on the blissful 7-minute title track.

On the flip side, ‘Dimension’ (B1) thrusts us into a Balearic haze of raves-gone-by. Glimpses of early acid house and trance permeate this shimmering and uplifting club-pumper, before our cosmic journey concludes with the elegant and soulful ‘It’s Yours’ (B2). Acting as a reminder of our Earthly genesis, shades of quintessential minimal house and UK garage tastefully underpin this 00’s-inspired stomper."

Written between 2020-2021, “Cerulean” is a ten-track album which delves into the isolation of the emotion of blue. The tracks flow between UK genres, combining sliced breaks, emotive melodic synths and deep pulsating low end to audibly display Jeigo’s intricate and melancholic production qualities. The album was produced in his former family home in South West London during the pandemic and finished in his home for the last two years in Peckham. Each track sits on the border of home listening and club functionality, with essences of crying on the dance floor euphoria, to those blissful or challenging moments alone.

“Over the period this was made, this project was the epicentre for my emotional stability and creative output, allowing me to find some comfort and calm in the tough moments of isolation that 2020/21 brought. Dedicated to my Dad and his best friend Roger”

Mystigrix is a DJ/Producer from Bremen, Germany. A founder of the rave collective, Conartism, he started a series of illegal open-air raves which have evolved into club nights and festival stages. Taking influence from the origins of House music and Warehouse raves he has created the Everyday Life EP exclusively for Zone Focus! The release features a collection of high energy, lo-fi house tracks with a touch of ghetto and acid mixed in for good measure. 

As a small gift for you NYE collectors, he has also produced "Love Her Right". A disco-infused, swish sounding, bouncy number perfect for the glittering night. New school sampling mixed with soft female vocals makes this a delightful dancefloor jam.
