We are glad to present this first limited vinyl release from Niceteed. “Nothing But Pain EP” is an obscure record wrapped by hard and uncompromising dancefloor-oriented raw grooves and punchy low ends. Only 300 copies, gone is gone, no repress.

The title track “Nothing But Pain” has huge rounded kick, violent sub bass and mighty groove elements absorbed inside the reverberated synth stab and vocal, a track which belongs in the peak-moment of every secret rave.
If we consider we also have a more Tech-oriented banger remix by Josh Coakley everything collides on an absolute terrific A-side.

The flip side opens with “Leben”, a tribute track for the crew that Niceteed is part of in his hometown. Here the fast and weighty kick drum hugs the rhythmic components, gritty hi-hats and claps. Everything settles down on the straight and impact synth stab line.
The final track “Ketama Aurea” lead us in the darkest part of this record, a gloomier zone that perfectly fits the end of this EP. Over the baggy kick drum everything is surrounded by the tangled synth melodies, their sounds are intertwined in the mix like arms of ravers in the murkiest warehouse party. Here the melancholic vocal is opposed to the warm bassline that stands out after the breaks in an impressive way.

Rolling into summer of ’21 with a medley of Trance is Dublin-based artist @sharpsonmusic, signing Planet Love onto Zone Focus for the label’s eighth release. The four-tracker EP pays homage to the famed Irish festival, mainlining 140bpm energy with hefty drums and euphoric overtones. An ultra-modern sound resonates throughout the project, enabling a diverse listening experience in the process.

Kicking off the release, Planet Love locks in audiophiles with intense rhythms and a blend of shadowy vocals matched against rising keys. Kamen Rider keeps the rapid pace with notes of acid peeking through energetic synth lines. Hard Techno elements take the stage in Dreamer Dreamer, unequivocally made for big festival consumption. As a final tribute, Oxegen was named for the event that carried on Planet Love’s legacy and closes the EP with one last crescendo filled with harpy electricity.

The name comes from the Northern Irish dance music festival PlanetLove, which over the years hosted the likes of Tiesto, Paul van Dyke, John Digweed and Gabriel & Dresden. The EP is a homage to the old school trance anthems from the likes of the Gatecrasher, In Search of Sunrise and Ministry of Sound albums. It brings those early melodic Trance influences and contextualises them into a contemporary sound.

New music coming from Marcus32x as he unleashes an oldschool inspired rave track, Willowbrook Park. This is straight hands in the air and euphoria energy.

Marcus32x also known for his other alias Sonia, where he explores the harder areas of techno, trance and hardhouse has been making music for many years now and is known for his eclectically in the studio and in the booth.

DJing and producing from a young age, finding his style came with his generation; introduced into a hard house and donk scene when he first began, it has helped him stand out with his distinct style today. Continuing his natural progression but maintaining his roots , SONIA moved towards techno; focusing on fast paced and hard hitting styles that make his sound distinct.

Marcus32x is more focussed on the deeper side of electronic music as it steps away from pounding kick-drums and focuses on grooves and melodies. Marcus has been exploring house, garage, breaks and trance under this alias and this release marks the first one in over a year.

‘Willowbrook Park’ is full of old school piano house good energy. Vintage synth lines, euphoric pads and sanguine piano makes for a delight trip back to the old school. The track is inspired by Marcus’s younger years and is a love letter to the Korg M1 and piano house tunes, as well as being named after his friends estate.
