Berlin-based artist Cinthie has spent years at the epicenter of Europe’s underground electronic scene, establishing herself as a versatile and cherished figure in House music. Known for her prolific work through her label 803 Crystal Grooves, her Elevate.Berlin record store, and a vinyl collection that speaks to her deep-rooted understanding of the genre, Cinthie’s expertise shines through in every track she crafts. Her latest release, the Rave Baby EP on Will Saul’s influential Aus Music, marks another stellar addition to her catalog and serves as part of a four-EP series celebrating Aus’s landmark 200th release.

"Rave Baby," the lead track, is quintessential Cinthie: high-energy, rave-infused House with a modern yet timeless feel. A warmth emanates from the track's swung kicks, propelling the rhythm with a smooth, driving bassline and crisp percussion. A native of Galway, KETTAMA has spent the past couple of years rising through the tricky ranks of the Irish electronic music scene with his multiple residencies on the West and East coasts. However, his biggest claim to fame so far has been the online presence he has built across a range of different music communities online. What has happened since has been nothing short of breathtaking; his blend of hefty kicks with catchy riffs and stabs has given the house world a new ‘one to watch’ and he has certainly given everyone a good show to look at thus far.

Last year being his best year to date with his release of Bucklyn Bridge on Brookyln's HOMAGE, KETTAMA has no intention of slowing down in 2019. Joining the likes of powerhouses such as Demuja, Adryiano, Loods, and Harrison BDP, KETTAMA has recently decided to collaborate with UK label Shall Not Fade to come out with a new record titled Eastside Avenue.

Today, we are sharing one of the originals from the 4 track EP and it's called "Falling Down." Featuring generous applications of floor shattering bass and old-school Acid house synth work, the Irish lad is able to put together a high-energy chune that has "peak time" written all over it. We do not always post bangers of this variety on Bolting Bits, but when we do, they are usually top notch...and this certainly lives up to the standard.

Eastside Avenue is set for release on April 12th. You can bet that it's sure to fly off the shelves.

Fresh Take Records keep the foot down for 2020 with a third release in as many months. This cut comes from Dundalk hard hitter HYYKEN. There must be something in the water in Ireland, as HYYKEN showcases more of the signature sound exported from the island in recent years. 

The EP kicks off with FLATBUSH AVE, the title track, which builds with a heart-thumping kick and ascends through the gears via a catchy hip hop sample. By the time the gliding baseline rears its head, it's sure to send any dance floor into overdrive. Next up is PRAYZE, a peak-time, hazy journey through jarring vocal chops and spacey synths which sound like they just landed from orbit. Two must-haves for the 2020 playlists.
