In French, "sonotone" or "antonomase" stands for an electrical "hearing aid" that one could use to improve their hearing and help them follow conversations and stories with a clearer sound.
"Drama" refers to the interferences that intervene in the Sonotone and replacing the original outside sound by other frequencies the listener might not expect, leaving him or her in a state of curious incomprehension.
