TIMOTHY "JT" BROWN WAS BORN AND RAISED IN PG COUNTY, MD. IT WAS AT THE YOUNG AGE OF SEVEN WHEN JT WAS INTRODUCED TO THE MUSIC OF HIS UNCLE, A MAJOR INFLUENCE TO HIS ARTISTRY.

JT STARTED WRITING RAPS IN 2002, WITH DREAMS TO MAKE A NAME OFF OF GREAT TALENT AND FLOW. If the two genres of contemporary R&B and southern-style rap joined together in holy matrimony then C. Knight would undoubtedly be their love child. Born as Cory Knight on June 18, 1988 the Washington D.C. born and East Texas raised Gemini man grew up with a passion of sports and music. He excelled in high school as well as a few years in college. 
C. Knight has applied this same work ethic that he has used all his life to create a distinct and unmistakable sound to contribute to the Hip-Hop culture. He takes concepts of love, relationships, and passion from R&B and blends it with the elements that make up down south rap. His lyrics are straight-forward to the point and his delivery comes melodic and crystal clear. 
C. Knight has a wide range of influences. “At a young age I was listening to all kinds of R&B and I loved rappers like 2Pac, Biggie, Snoop Dogg, and Ma$e.” says C. Knight. “But as I got older one of my favorite rappers was Cassidy. He was a battle rapper that could spit those hard-hitting punchlines but turn around and make songs for the ladies.” 
Even though music was always his passion it took some time for him to have the desire to pursue rap as a career. “I was always writing and freestyling with my cousins, but it wasn’t until I put myself out there to non-family members that made me want to take it seriously.” states C. Knight. “I was getting a lot of good feedback from people saying that my music sounds different and that it was something that they could get behind if I wanted to take it to the next level. That’s all I want.”
The route to “the next level” will be through his latest project that is titled as “Knight Cap”. When asked about the concept of the project C. Knight just smiles and responds vaguely saying, “It’s a familiar story that starts in the club and ends up in the bedroom.” C. Knight has been in the studio day in and day out trying to perfect this project. His tireless dedication for putting out quality product is a result from the two biggest motivators in his life: “My passion for music and the love of my life, daughter.”
