After half a year of practice, the thing I could've never imagined possible happened - I ended up on a proper stage! Seeing everyone dancing and having so much fun left me awestruck.

This set was performed live in the ZKM venue in Karlsruhe, for the GPN22 event.

There were some technical issues at the start (lesson learnt: never toggle Ableton Link during a performance, it *will* reset the tempo controls on both decks), and some minor mistakes, but given that this was my first time on stage I think it went pretty well! "Animism" is a spiritual or religious belief that all natural things; such as animals, plants, rocks, rivers, weather systems, and even human-made objects; have a living soul or spirit. It is one of the oldest belief systems in the world and is central to many indigenous and tribal cultures.

Animism is the first word that came to my mind, as I was creating this profoundly spiritual and organic Set. So embark on a journey with me full of magical buildups, spiritual messages, tribal voices of our ancestral spirits and most importantly... some of the most earth-shattering drops that i ever heard in psytrance history.

This set was performed live at Firebound Festival 2025, which took place in the Black Forest in Germany.

It was a significant milestone - it marked both my debut festival performance, as well as our debut as the duo Spectral Synchronicity, under which we will soon produce our own Psytrance tracks!

None of us could have expected to be attacked by a horde of giant bugs for a significant portion of the set, as it was their mating season - but I still believe we pulled together a great performance. Jo Moontribe is originally from the Mediterranean Island of Malta, where for almost two decades he was the owner of a prominent Nitespot that was well known for its Music Scene, and a party organizer since the mid-eighties. He was also the Managing Director and Jump Master of a Skydiving School.
After many years of travelling around the Globe, and living in a few different countries, in 2004 he moved to the island of Koh Phangan in the Gulf of Thailand, where over the years he has become a well know name in the international scene as a Full-on/Twilight Psychedelic Trance DJ.
Jo forms part of ‘Magic Phangan Productions’, the Thai Organization behind Ban Sabaii, Blackmoon Culture (Koh Phangan) and The Experience Festival (Koh Tao), where he is also a Resident Dj and Stage Manager.
Jo has played in countless Festivals and Clubs around the World, such as Germany, France, Malta, Switzerland, Austria, India, Nepal, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea.
