What an incredible energy on the Heimlich Floor on halloween night!
And what a special night it was. For me and @sereeene our last gig in a long time 🥺 Just writing these lines makes my eyes wet. Sorina left 2 days after our gig for a 9 month trip to south america. Miss you already so much bibi 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭!!!!!!!!! 
We obviously planned something special to mark the occasion 😎 And here again I want to thank Sorina for being the creative soul that she is and for putting up with me during my initial reactions 😅 Making an intro with our voices was initially her idea and we already wanted to do that for our Stadflucht set but it didn't happen then. It didn't take us all too long to come up with the text, thanks to our ideas, a book and chat gpt :D What took longer was the recording of our voices. Here a big shout out to @maier_mareia for having the patience and love to record this with us and for providing her sound engineering insights and helping us cut the material and put it together. The first part of the intro - which can be seen between the skulls on top - was spoken by the both of us at the same time; timing was of the essence! We'll let you discover the second part of the intro ;)

We played a bit slower than usual and tried out a new genre (for our duo/heart project) for us: dark disco. And, daaaaamn, it was fun to play some old tunes I used to play, incorporate some new ones and mix them together with bibi's awesome track selection.
At one point though, you will notice that something went wrong 🫣 We were playing around 121 bpm when I started bringing in a psy trance Thriller edit. The track being originally super fast,  it got played in double time (Double-time halves the tempo and makes the song sound slower), so around 61 bpm - or at least we thought so 😅. Turns out, that even though the player was showing 61 bpm it felt like the song got played at 180 bpm. Anyhoo, after trying to figure out how to get out of this conundrum and not finding a solution, we had to cut clean and restart the track 🥲 
But those moments are exactly what makes you smile afterwards.

So yeah, that was one for the books! We had so much fun playing and really felt the energy the crowd was giving off!

Superfancy is back. For the start of the year 2016 is an absolut classic tune from Funkwerkstatt with fresh remixes via Superfancy Recordings on his way to your trustworthy record dealer. "Melodie fr Millionen", originally released on the label 3000 Records, will now be released with the original track plus two remixes on Funkwerkstatt's label. To start with Anthik, wich has already released on Suara and Go deeva Records, in collaboration with Felipe Puertes. The two swiss guys transform the track into an absolut modern clubmonster. A catchy bassline, up beat arpeggiator sounds paired with timeless vocals turn this remix into a weapon for ever dancefloor.The second remix comes from the two berlin locals Dole & Kom, members of the 3000 community. To say Stephan Zovsky's career started in 2019 would be wrong. It would omit any mention of the two decades of DJing he’s got under his belt already, with countless gigs all over the place. It would omit any mention of his 2010 album ‘The Village’, produced with long-year musical partner Sandro Schäufler. It would omit any mention of his first set as Green Lake Project in 2016. No, to say his career started in 2019 would be plain out wrong.

Yet 2019 is a milestone year in the life of this prolific creative from Mecklenburg Vorpommern, that rural North-Eastern corner of Germany. It's the year his ‘Connect EP’ is out on 3000Grad Records, the first of a perpetual string of releases. It's the year Stephan Zovsky starts his own label Sueslide, a launching pad for his growing musical output that finally meets his notoriously high quality standards towards himself. It's also the year ‘GLP’ drops - the debut album of Green Lake Project, his successful joint venture with Mollono.Bass.

His ever increasing skill level as a DJ and producer resonates intensely with the scene and its dancefloors: His tracks rank high in prestigious charts. His inbox is flooded with remix requests, some even from rather remote music scenes like Indie or Trance. He is invited to perform his Stephan Zovsky liveact at Fusion Festival's famous Turmbühne in 2021.

His diverse background and tireless productivity make it impossible to pin Stephan Zovsky down to a particular genre. Anyway, mentioning his name in one breath with the term ‘Melodic Techno’ doesn't make him frown; the terms ‘tool-like’, ‘DJ-oriented’ or ‘club-ready’ make him smile. You won't hear him playing obvious bawl-along hits, but neither will you hear him playing nerdy, overly intellectual tunes. His understated, functional style sits comfortably in the middle, making him the perfect prime time artist for those moments when it's all about no-frills, strictly-thrills dancefloor ecstasy.

Seine beständig wachsende Kunstfertigkeit hinterlässt in der Szene und auf ihren Dancefloors einen deutlich spürbaren Eindruck: Seine Tracks tauchen regelmäßig in viel beachteten Charts auf. Ihn erreichen immer mehr Anfragen für Remixes, sogar aus recht weit entfernten Szenen wie etwa dem Indie- oder Trance-Umfeld. Er wird mit seinem Stephan Zovsky Liveact auf die sagenumwobene Turmbühne des Fusion Festivals 2021 eingeladen.

Mit Blick auf seinen vielfältigen Hintergrund und seine unermüdliche Produktivität ist es schlichtweg unmöglich, Stephan Zovsky einem bestimmten Genre zuzuordnen. Wenn wir ihn in einem Atemzug mit dem Begriff 'Melodic Techno' erwähnen, dann runzelt er zumindest nicht die Stirn; wenn wir Begriffe wie 'toolartig', 'DJ-tauglich' oder 'tanzflächenkompatibel’' verwenden, dann schmunzelt er. Vorhersehbare Mitgröhl-Hits gibt es von ihm ebenso wenig zu hören wie allzu verkopften Frickel-Sound. Mit seinen funktionalen und doch subtilen Sets passt er ideal in jene Art von Spitzenzeit, in der es ganz ohne Hype und Schnickschnack einfach nur gediegen zur Sache gehen soll.
