Earning praises from a worldwide range of selectors that include the likes of Gilles Peterson, Dam-Funk, Tama Sumo, San-Soda, Mike Huckaby, Lefto and many more, Dean aka the Funk Bast*rd
(one half of the Cosa nostra duo and co-founder of Singapore-based label Darker Than Wax) has been tirelessly pushing and promoting an alternative expression of lefteld music through his widely eclectic and genre-bending sets. Being the main A+R and creative mind behind DTW, the label has  ourished tremendously over the past 5 years, cementing
its place as one of the go-to labels out of South East Asia.
His musical selection, which traverses between a huge variety of musical genres like deep jazz, soul, funk, boogie, brazilian grooves, deep house, hip hop and bass numbers have left many indelible marks on the danceoors.
It’s no surprise then that he has played alongside some of the world’s  nest like Kyle Hall, Lefto, Recloose, Gerd Janson, Basic Soul Unit, Linkwood, Norman Jay, Souleance, Ramadanman / Pearson Sound, Krystal Klear, Tiger and Woods, Mike Huckaby, Seven Davis Jnr and most notably, warmed up for Dj Ez, Fourtet, Kamaal Williams and Dam Funk .
His sets have also taken him around the world, playing most recently in New York, Brazil, Switzerland, Paris, London and Shanghai, just to name a few. In 2016, Funk B was also invited on BBC 1XTRA, Radar Radio, and swung through the legendary Brownswood basement of Gilles Peterson with a 2-hour exclusive Worldwide FM mix. Following that, he has most recently completed 3 tours in Europe, and played at Dimensions Festival
in 2018. It comes with no surprise then that he has secured a monthly radio spot on the highly esteemed Worldwide FM.
The Funk Bast*rd always has something in the box that surprises. Just open those ears.

Masa Niwayama [GIANT SWING] from Bangkok
Originally from Hokkaido, he’s a promising Japanese DJ in Thailand, active in the forefront of music scene. In 2010, he started the party called “GIANT SWING”. It became a movement throughout Asia and won the highest praise by the party people from all over the world as well as the people from the local music industry. He’s been spending more time on the dancefloor in Thailand than anywhere else, his style seems to be free from any kind of ordinary restraints: his positive vibes and his unique relaxed personality attract everyone in the true sense. He also worked at Zudrangma HQ Records Store (2010-1015) with Maft Sai and plays brilliantly various world music such as Thai, African and Jamaican. He tours around Japan every year and making the groove wherever he goes with his perfect play.

Lebanese-born producer and DJ Rabih Beaini (formerly known as Morphosis) specializes in grainy, imaginative analogue techno. In the past year however, his Morphine label has telescoped in on key (often overlooked) voices in avant-garde electronic and outernational music.

As Morphosis, Beaini has been crafting away in the nether-regions of the techno underworld since the 90s. Having cut his teeth as a DJ, a move to Italy in 1996 proved the catalyst to start experimenting in the studio. And he really did experiment – few people craft the sort of emotional, exploratory techno as Beaini has for labels like Sistrum Recordings (Detroit), M>O>S (Amsterdam), and Styrax (Berlin). His two most recent albums, Albidaya on Lebanese label Annihaya and Dismantle/Music For Vampyr on Honest Jon’s, follow his critically acclaimed 2011 debut LP, What Have We Learned, on Delsin.

Beaini’s genuine musical ability and a range of influences—from krautrock to new wave—seep into his inventive, dark, and emotional productions and immersive DJ sets. These influences also find their way into Beani’s productions with the Upperground Orchestra, a multi-headed improvisational ensemble that explores the terrain between electronica, techno, and improvisational jazz.

While his productions join the dots between raw, elementary electronica, and jazz, his Morphine label has put forward an equally forward-thinking selection of techno from the likes of Madteo, Hieroglyphic Being, and Anthony "Shake" Shakir. In 2014, the label entered a new era with a retrospective trilogy of works by US-based improviser and Buchla synth master Charles Cohen. The collection was the most comprehensive ever to be released, and was followed by an album of new material from Cohen in 2015. Beaini served as a producer for this and subsequent LPs from pioneering American composer Pauline Oliveros, French mechanical-orchestra creator Pierre Bastien, and explosive Indonesian duo Senyawa. He has also helped to organize concerts and tours with Cohen and Senyawa throughout Europe and Japan.

Sunju Hargun is a child of multi-cultural upbringing – born and raised in Thailand with Indian and Japanese roots. His vivid mixture of different backgrounds has led him to create and share with the world for fifteen plus years - a range of unique sounds as he deconstructs time and space through hypnotizing sets often taking heavy influence from the 90's mood of raw house, tripped-out trance, deep breaks, extraterrestrial tribal and everything that captures the mind, body and soul. uncontrolled by genre or tempo limitations- his sound is shaped by early years spent on the dancefloors for long hours in shanghai as a pure raver at heart.

On a quest to share music into the world, you can find him regularly disk-jockeying at clubs around asia or featured in line-ups alongside heavy-weights at festivals like epizode, sonar, wonderfruit and many more. Sunju also has co-founded and curate's sounds for the Karma klique events in bangkok together collective of friends.
