Billie Eilish - Ocean Eyes (EZEK Edit)

A kind of magic power emerges from "Ameno" from the French Band "Era". 
Abstraal was fascinated by this sound and wanted to re-work it. Their wish was to keep the spiritual and medieval atmosphere without modifications on the imaginary vocal to preserve the mystical mind of the music. They re-wrote lead strings and synths, added some deep techno drums to produce a modernized private rendition of that epic tune. They tested it for the first time at ADE in 2019 for Exit Festival live stream set on Be At-TV from Faralda Crane Hotel and later, they played it a lot to kill dancefloors. After receiving several requests, it's time to give it. That story is based on real facts.

A track that marked a special season on my childhood and I think a lot of us will remind a younger self with this edit. January the 20th meet a talented producer from Spain, @jamesdetorres to deliver his release 'Hephaistos' to Area Verde.
'Hephaistos and Vulcano are the same antique god, the first one is the Greek one, and Vulcano the Rome one. The god of fire and forge, when producing this two tracks I felt like crafting something in the dark, something beautiful that needs strength and patience to give it form. Using the Serum and the Sylenth to bring those synth sounds, the atmosphere samples, it really make me feel like if a deep story is being told.'

Clubsonica Records opens the new year by welcoming Sex Mind to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Bolivia, Jorge Burgos aka Sex Mind has been delighting electronic music fans with his colourful progressive sound for the better part of a decade. His penchant for crafting nostalgic melodies has carried him to performances at Colors Fest and Electro Color, two of Bolivia's premiere electronic music events. Choosy in his projects, Sex Mind's resume is short and impactful, with time and care put into each release and carrying much anticipation as a result. Now, presenting their first offering of 2022, Clubsonica welcomes Sex Mind to the label with 'Niflheim | Alfheim', alongside remixes from D-Nox and Gai Barone and Simply City.

Providing the lone interpretation of 'Niflheim' are D-Nox and Gai Barone. Hailing from Germany but now based in Argentina, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock Records, Sudbeat Music and his own Sprout imprint. Meanwhile, Italian producer Gai Barone has achieved similar success across his fourteen-year career. Regarded by fans and contemporaries as a master melodic craftsman, Gai continues to deliver some of the most emotive music that the electronic underground has to offer. A recent partnership with British producer Luke Brancaccio has yielded chart topping releases via Bedrock, Lost and Found, Renaissance and Selador. Having worked together previously on projects for KaterMukke, Parquet and Where The Heart Is, D-Nox and Gai Barone now synthesize their talents once again for Clubsonica with a powerful take on 'Niflheim'. Warm pulsating basslines and rebounding rhythms set the course for snatches of fragmented vocals and acid-like lines to work their magic leading into the break. A gorgeous contrast from the talented duo and one which is explored further across the captivating interlude, as a pitch bending narrative paves the way for a wonky groove-centric drop and fiery percussive finale.

PREMIERE: Sex Mind - Niflheim (D-Nox & Gai Barone Remix) [Clubsonica Records]

The companion piece from the Wander EP ‘The Place Where We Are Free’ lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Enticing from the start, its billowing groove excites with a monolithic pulse. Inventive percussive arrangements and astral sonics steal the air, as flashing vocals and a contemporary tonal theme take centrestage leading into the break. Emotion peaks as the interlude unfolds, with nostalgic chord changes and elastic-like bass modulation marrying for memorable moments, onwards to a heady conclusion.
