ALBUM DESCRIPTION :

DK16 is my first-ever album release, and I’m so excited to share it with you all. This project came together thanks to the large number of tracks I finished in November that met my quality standards and is inspired by Hardgroove and Techno.

The tracklist is arranged in the order the songs were created—so as you listen from start to finish, you’ll hear how my personal taste and creative process evolved over the week it took to produce these tracks. It’s a small detail, but one I think makes the album even more special.

The album takes its name from one of the tracks, "DK16" (Track 5). While this song stands out to me and deserves its place in the spotlight, every track has something to offer. I’m sure many of you will find your own favorites as you listen.

Making this music has been so much fun, and I’m so grateful to share it with you. Your support—through streams, social media engagement, and just listening—means the world to me.

Release Info: 
Techno titans and long time musical partners Marc Romboy and Oliver Huntemann are back with another epic collaboration in the form of ‘Schwarze Witwe’ on Romboy’s Systematic Recordings.

This legendary pair have very much defined the sound of the electronic underground over recent decades. They are cutting edge artists with a unique grasp of melody and drama and always serve up fresh new sounds whenever they work together. This outstanding new track comes hot on the heels of ‘Teufelsfisch’ in May. That epic cut came on Huntemann's label Senso Sounds back in May and was in the Beatport charts for more than three months. This one is sure to prove just as big.

‘Schwarze Witwe’ is built on hefty drums and razor sharp percussion that cuts right through any sound system. The baseline grumbles down low with a great sense of menace and the spell binding synth work is electric. Withering lines, pixelated pads and cosmic keys all light up the airwaves in dramatic and signature fashion.

This is another standout collaboration from these two icons.

Astral Records rounds out a successful year by welcoming Moonphazes, Luccas Deo and Fernandez to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Brazil, this trio of the talented artists has enjoyed measurable success across their respective solo careers. With a fresh approach to melodic house and techno, Moonphazes, Luccas and Fernandez have compiled an impressive discography in recent years. Projects via ERROR, Panda Lab, Purified and more have yielded support from Agents Of Time, Fideles, Kevin de Vries, Korolova, Miss Monique, Nora En Pure and Vintage Culture, amongst others. With Moonphazes and Luccas being occasional studio partners in the past, the duo now combines their extensive forces with Fernandez, making their Astral Records debut with ‘Raag'.


Selection one ‘Vortex' finds Moonphazes and Fernandez masterfully synthesizing their talents for a dancefloor journey that is both dynamic and club-effective. Equally at home above a festival skyline or sitting in the sweet spot of a primetime club set, the duo's pyrotechnic synths and fragmented siren-like lead blanket a muscular low end that is charged with boundless energy. A trance-inspired break pushes the narrative forward with tension and emotion, before a colossal build reveals a twisted finale.


The release concludes with Moonphazes and Luccas collaborating on the EP's title selection ‘Raag'. With past projects for Awen Records, ERRORR and Panda Lab, the duo's creative synergy continues to grow on their Astral debut. Vocal hypnotism and charged synths dazzle throughout, while muscular grooves and robust rhythmic structures seal what is a peaktime masterpiece.
