I have said it before... It's always great to meet new people. When you get booked to play at a 3 day burn in the middle of nowhere you are more or less bound to meet like minded people. These young cats from Gothenburg played after me and really brought it. And they played a hybrid live set which was unexpected. I just remembered dancing through their whole set and afterwards feeling really good.

This mix is sixty minutes pure eargasm. Melodic Techno alá Afterlife combined and mixed elegantly like an acid cocktail with dmt on top as the cherry. Taking you through space and time to end you up on a massive dance floor in your mind. Ohh man! Can you feel it? No? Then listen to the mix and let me know.

E P I S O D E S Mix Series 008 - Ito Cekaj & Rasange

The concept of Ides of March for Manuel and Pietro sees the light for the first time in 2018 in Amsterdam, where they both are based. The Spanish-Italian duo first met in 2016 as colleagues, to soon after become good friends and find out their common interest in music.

Manuel comes from more of a rock and alternative music background nurtured in his home town, Madrid, while Pietro has always been interested mainly in hip hop and rap from his home country Italy, though his father is a jazz musician and exposed him since his childhood to a wide array of music, spacing from Frank Zappa to Miles Davis. Combine the two, add in the mix synths and a rolling bass, and you will soon find out a unique and interesting mix.

Having set their international debut with their first melodic techno EP "XV-III" for UK's label sequence music in 2020 and the single "Corpus" on German imprint Club Mood Vibes, the sound that this duo brings in their DJ, Live sets and productions spaces from progressive and tribal house with electro bass lines to more melodic and melancholic shades of techno in a blend characterized by the two's personal taste and musical background.

Since July 2021, in collaboration with the Dutch capital's iconic organization UNDRGRND, the duo started their residency at Club John Doe, where they curate a monthly event called SYNESTHESIA. Aimed at blending a visual experience with the duo's signature sound, bringing local and international guests each month, this new concept looks like a fresh and promising reality in Amsterdam's underground scene - https://soundcloud.com/idesofmarch_ofc.

FiveP (@fivep) is an Italian dj and producer based in Bari (South Italy). He discovered his passion for the electronic music when he was 16 years old and now he lives of music, playing in the most popular clubs (He also played in Ibiza, Berlin, Malta and other cities) and producing music influenced by techno and deep house sounds.
In 2020 wins a Bandcamp release with Poker Flat Records thanks to his remix of Hannes Bieger's track "Tephra" for the 20 Years of Poker Flat Remix Contest. Moreover labels such as 3000Grad, Dear Deer, Univack and Manitox signed his latest EPs recently. 
His performances are characterized by tracks with powerful bassline and drums accompanied by synths and melodic sounds.

The Alexsander's debut track Output was edited by Dutch superstar Sander Van Doorn, later the  same year a collaboration with CamelPhat and releasing three singles marking his  unorthodox techno oriented sound.

In the past 2 years, The Alexsander has received widespread support by techno and  house legends including Adam Beyer, Black Coffee, Booka Shade, Maceo Plex,  Groove Armada, Joris Voorn to Kölsch, Joseph Capriati, Danny Tenaglia, Marco  Carola and Jamie Jones, just to name a few.

His sound plays on a combination of dark, mysterious, cinematic melancholy elements  from pads, arpeggiators to bass lines, a clear red thread that goes throughout his  versus music productions. 2020 marks two great steps, a release on legendary UK  label Stress Records and the launch of his own imprint Hypnotic Rhtyhm.

Oldmark is an electronic artist from Stockholm seeking to share his vision for music with the world.
Creating mellifluous soundscapes taking you on a journey: his productions infuse elements of cinematic sounds and deep melodies, combined with the alluring momentum of dark techno.
After his recent debut on Hypnotic Rhythms, Oldmark’s journey is only beginning to unfold.

Heyho this is Bäggy, born and raised in Regensburg. He acquired the taste of the techno scene through the legendary Schimmerlos, a tiny Bunker, where he learned to live and love dancing. Eventually, and also for his studies, he gravitated towards Berlin. Barely having arrived, he was lucky enough to meet just the right crew to get connected within the scene and started helping out organizing and celebrating parties.

His sound ranges from driving, groovy Tech House, over the well-known DIT KLINGT JUT sound to super emotional Melodic Techno.

Set of the Day Podcast - 791 - Ides of March

The concept of Ides of March for Manuel and Pietro sees the light for the first time in 2018 in Amsterdam, where they both are based. The Spanish-Italian duo first met in 2016, and soon found out their common interest in electronic music.

They set their international debut with their first EP "XV-III" for UK's label sequence music in 2020, followed by the single "Corpus" on German imprint Club Mood Vibes. They then released the track Dreamwalking for Mexico City's label ARKHAMRA VA in 2022 and their second EP called "Hyperion" in 2023 on the Ibiza & Tulum based Uxoa Dutxa Elite. 

The sound that this duo brings in their DJ sets and productions spaces from progressive house, to electro, to more melodic and melancholic shades of techno, in a blend characterized by the two's personal taste and musical background. 

Their work has so far been supported by international acts such as Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Axel Haube, Wurtz, The Element, Jos & Eli, Alfa Romero, Paco Osuna, Olivier Weiter, Mitch De Klein, Justrice, Fat Cosmoe and Kadosh among others. Their release "Reticent" on Wout Records caught the eye of David Guetta, who inserted the Toxism Remix of the track Reticent among his favourites in heavy rotation. Their last release "All Is Light" has been published on Amsterdam's Click Records, including a remix from the label's boss Lake Avalon himself.

In July 2021, the duo started their event concept series, @synesthesiamusicart where they shared the stage with artists such as Hollt, Beswerda, Mitch De Klein, Kimman and Echonomist. The aim is to keep evolving, blurring the lines of music genres.
