I would've had this one out sooner but I wanted to get a couple more things done; unfortunately college has kept me a bit more busy than I'd have liked, so instead I'm just releasing this one and maybe in the nearish future you'll see the other stuff show up. No real promises, though, a void can only do so much at once (especially when they come home at (or later than) 6:30PM half the time)

I'm like. a good deal late with giving extra context to this track and I still don't have much for this but what I CAN say is that this ISN'T a Snowgrave-themed track in the slightest. None of that "Oh no Kris did some fucked up shit watch out Susie and Ralsei" shit.

Attack of the Lost Lightners' "context" is similar to that of Placed Bets in terms of how it takes place. Keep in mind that this was made before I even knew Spamton was more than just the funky lil dumpster man I had no clue this man had a secret boss theme.
Queen doesn't exist in this particular timeline. Noelle and Berdly end up ruling over the Dark World instead, for reasons I have yet to remember.

the idea for something like this came to me suddenly a few days ago and i just had to go for it. pretty happy with i did with it. i always loved the second half of the main ruins/spear of justice melody. the part thats the 3/4 piano at the end of the original BAaTH. that part rocks.

500 followers, holy shit. Honestly never really thought I'd get that much. Don't know how it happened, exactly, but at the end of the day? I'm genuinely grateful! I'm glad that that many people are entertained by my work, and I'd hope to continue expanding that audience as I keep on honing my craft. I'm glad you're all here.

As for the song itself! It's a cover of @airenn171's take on a Gaster boss theme, which in turn is based heavily on Toby Fox's old "Dream Devourer" fan-song he made for Chrono Trigger. Given that it's both badass and a bit heartfelt, I figured it'd make a good song for the occasion. Plus, I've just been dying to make a Gaster fight theme for a while now, haha.

Thank you all so much for staying with me this long. It means a lot to me. Here's to 1000, eh?

Here it is! A metal cover of one of your favourite songs from Deltarune: Chapter Rewritten, Battle Against The World! I truly put my heart and soul into this song. From thrashing guitars to symphonic strings, and even a little inspiration from nu metal, this cover has it all! Unlike most of my remixes, the first time I listened to the original song, my reaction wasn't "This is so cool!" "I need to make a cover!" (although I think that "Battle Against the World" is a fantastic song). No, my initial reaction was, "Holy moly, this is gonna test my abilities." BATW is an incredibly complicated song with many intricate parts, not all of which I could fit into this song without it sounding like noise. I've spent what feels like forever fine-tuning this cover. Overall, I'm more than happy with the final product and hope that you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! You know I had to do it, right? Just needed more time to prepare for it I guess. But welp, guess here it is. Been indulging myself with various EDM genres and tried to get a grasp of Kawaii Future Bass and Voice Chops. I say I did alright with it, still need a bit of practice still. I tried my absolute best transcribing the melody, the second to last melody was the hardest to recreate but hope it's accurate enough! Also had the absolute dumbass idea to include Stronger Than You for the last part because the starting melody sounded like the exact same intro notes from Stronger Than You.

The idea behind Placed Bets originally came a little while after having played Deltarune Chapter 1, wondering what a hypothetical fight against Lancer would be like if, as Lancer stated in (I think) his introduction, he truly was "the bad guy", much like the title his father would proudly wield. This song (and its predecessors) explores what would happen if King weren't around to be the bad guy, and all of the responsibility to handle the Lightners fell upon Lancer. So before any of you start making comments about it, no, this is NOT supposed to be a Weird Route thing. So please don't try and treat it as such.

It's been closer to 5 years at this point since I made the original Placed Bets, and one year fewer since I'd made v2. Suffice to say, it's been a while since I've revisited it, it's certainly been long enough to justify it. I've been in a particular remaster-y mood lately, so expect some "classics" (in other words, weird remaster choices) in the future!!
