This is truly the most wonderful time of the year - purely magical. And I think it ought to be accompanied by music which beckons nostalgic warmth. This version of Dwell was born of late nights at a piano...always wondering if the melodies of the original could be rewritten in a rather free and spontaneous fashion. This is what emerged. It is best enjoyed under a star-lit sky as the snow falls  - of course with several angels & baby deer in your midst as you sip hot drinking chocolate. Es dient der Welt nicht, wenn du dich klein machst. Sich klein zu machen, nur damit andere um dich sich nicht unsicher fühlen, hat nichts erleuchtetes. Wir wurden geboren, um die Herrlichkeit Gottes, der in uns ist, zu manifestieren. Es ist nicht nur in einigen von uns, es ist in jedem einzelnen. Und wenn wir unser Licht scheinen lassen, geben wir damit unbewusst anderen Erlaubnis, es auch zu tun. Wenn wir von unser eigenen Angst befreit sind, befreit unsere Gegenwart automatisch die anderen...“


Die Idee zu meinem neuen Set  ist schnell erzählt. Es versucht das Thema Ängste (wie die Angst vor der Dunkelheit) darzustellen, die dem Licht und der Freude an schönen Melodien weichen müssen.
Der Aufbau ist daher erst melancholisch und etwas düster, doch sollte dann abgelöst und vertrieben werden von fröhlicheren und helleren Klängen – aber hört selbst :-)

My latest piece entitled, "What Grows Within", follows the ever-evolving, feeling of growth that we have as individuals. Some listeners may define it as love, while others may define it as the maturity we gain over the course of our lives. When writing this record, I felt it was important for each part of the piece to feel slightly different/definable, yet still maintain an overall connection to the theme. The essential idea was connecting the slow, dynamic, and climatic growth that we have in our lives, to that in which can be appreciated in an audible context. I hope while listening to this record, you feel that I achieved this vision, and as always, appreciate you taking the time to listen. Thanks!
