This track is dedicated to my Friend Richard and his family. They own an amazing holiday business in Coombe Martin, North Devon called "Longlands".

Overlooking the battlefield at Curlew Pass, County Sligo, Ireland, the Chieftan Hugh "Red" O'Donnell guards the dawn on the day the English were to be defeated (15th of August 1599). Looking for haunting Male and Female vocals for a possible collaboration on a future set based on the story/theme.

The pipes and flute play the farewell lament for all those fallen during the battle. The army of living remember the brave dead before turning North to return to Dhún na nGall (Donegal). As the pipes finish and the army turns away a solo flute is heard played by a girl who stays behind and mourns alone for the one she followed in love & life and who was never found on the field.

After the Battle at Curlew Pass, Red O'Donnell and his army and kin attend the ground where their comrades were interred, after the pipes have lamented they turn to travel homeward in victory but remembering their lost friends and family who fell on the day.

This is just an impromtu piece I did whilst sat at my keyboard. Sitting there wondering what should I do, and all of a sudden, I thought of Vlad Josephson. Now, I'm risking all here in assuming that, as a Bass player, Vlad smokes the odd cigarette so I started to play and this  came into my head. It's a Five-Four 168 BPM ditty. It won't be here long and just up for fun and a jibe at good ol' Vlad. Love ya bro hahaha

Rudhraighe Ó Domhnaill, (Rory O’Donnell) 1st Earl of Tyrconnell (1575 – 30 July 1608) He was to be the last King of Tír Chonaill (or Tyrconnell) after his brother of "Red" Hugh O'Donnell who lead the nine year war against the English

In this scene, which takes place during the battle of Curlew Pass, Rory has been sent to gain support from King Phillip II of Spain in the continuing struggle against the English. Whilst in Spain as an envoy for his brother, Rory becomes infatuated by a beautiful Spanish Courtesan, soon Rory has a personal battle to win the charms of this lady. The track describes the cheeky advances by Rory and the determined push backs from the senorita who eventually gives in to the Irishman and a relationship forms.

The scene of Persephone's birth in India, born in an overcrowded ghetto and into poverty. Persephone's father is angry that he has a girl in his family, a family that should only consist of "Breadwinner" boys. Immediately he is asking his wife to give the child away or lose it, she is holding the child tightly in refusal and pleading with her husband to keep the child.

This track is played during the end titles, and comprises of other work in progress tracks in the production (not on Soundcloud,,,, YET) that I am working on right now. It is a mixture of classic strings, accordion, violin, ethnic drums, flutes, Uilleann pipes, horns and banjo.

Niamh sleeps, and in her dream, her lost lover comes to to her, her vision is fading as the light of dawn slowly begins to shine on her face and she begins to wake whilst pleading to her lover to stay.

Niamh (pronounced "Nee-av" or "Neeve" is the the belle of the village she lives up to her name which means "bright" or "radiant", a gifted musical girl who charms all with her flute and harp, she is sought after by all the young men but her heart belongs only to one man and she has given it to him forever.

Spiritualism starts within oneself and is nurtured and groomed by those closest to us, and yes, it neccesarily follows that this would start with family. 

Music is truly the food of love, and it is a vessel, in which we can show our feelings, whatever they may be at the time.

Having served in the Royal Marines and latterly a freelance in Iraq and with the wealth of travel I have been fortunately given in my career, I have been exposed to the horrors and joys of life, losing and meeting new friends from all creeds and nationalities. My family, friends and these encounters of joy and sorrow have all played a part in influencing me during my 56 years in this mortal coil, I shall take them with me when I leave it, hopefully having shared my spiritual essence with many people and hopefully leaving a mark somewhere that may be found by kindred spirits who may also be able to touch hearts and minds.

I have played music from the age of six having been given a Honer button accordion. Got my first synth in 1984 a Roland Juno 60 (rememeber them?), proud owner and user of Roland D70, XP80, Yamaha Tyros 1 & 3. I believe synthesisers allows one to paint pictures with sound and they allow me to express my emotions (to myself mainly)

Here's to my two lovely kids, Kirstie and Lauren and my only grandchild Freya Lily, and to the "final full measure", never give up on anything, including me. My love is a small mark on your hearts and souls, however, it will last for all eternity.

And to my mother, who encouraged me as a 6 year old child as she knelt in front of me and sang whilst I learned to play songs on the accordion by ear.

 Blessed be the music that inspires, emotes and gives courage & happiness, sacred be the song that makes us cry.
