Spiritualism starts within oneself and is nurtured and groomed by those closest to us, and yes, it neccesarily follows that this would start with family. 

Music is truly the food of love, and it is a vessel, in which we can show our feelings, whatever they may be at the time.

Having served in the Royal Marines and latterly a freelance in Iraq and with the wealth of travel I have been fortunately given in my career, I have been exposed to the horrors and joys of life, losing and meeting new friends from all creeds and nationalities. My family, friends and these encounters of joy and sorrow have all played a part in influencing me during my now 70 years in this mortal coil, I shall take them with me when I leave it, hopefully having shared my spiritual essence with many people and hopefully leaving a mark somewhere that may be found by kindred spirits who may also be able to touch hearts and minds.

I have played music from the age of six having been given a Honer button accordion. Got my first synth in 1984 a Roland Juno 60 (rememeber them?), proud owner and user of Roland D70, XP80, Yamaha Tyros 1 & 3, my latest acquisition is a Korg Nautilus 88. I believe synthesisers allows one to paint pictures with sound and they allow me to express my emotions (to myself mainly)

I’m into all music, all genres from classical through to psytrance etc.

Influencers: Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kitaro together with Vivaldi, Beethoven and many other classical composers

Here's to my two lovely kids, Kirstie and Lauren and my only grandchild Freya Lily, and to the "final full measure", never give up on anything, including me. My love is a small mark on your hearts and souls, however, it will last for all eternity.

And to my mother, who encouraged me as a 6 year old child as she knelt in front of me and sang whilst I learned to play songs on the accordion by ear.

Blessed be the music that inspires, emotes and gives courage & happiness, sacred be the song that makes us cry.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...

Koen Janssen (born February 6, 1981) is a composer from Belgium, currently residing with Warner Chappell PM. 

My debut album, “Alive” (2019), released worldwide on October 30th 2019 tells a musical story about the journey through life. From “Essence Of Life” too “Rebirth”. Koen Janssen also collaborated on this album with Cozin (a Belgian band) and singers Nele Uyttendaele and Finlay Van Wymeersch. His wife Stefanie Wauters even has a spot as a vocalist on his track “Run Wild, Live Free“. The album will be released by Warner Chappell PM on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music,… 

Born in Dendermonde and raised in Hamme, he started his passion for music at a young age. When he was 7 he used his brother’s room as concert hall and with a help of his trustworthy pencil, he conducted his own imaginary orchestra on the classical tunes of Mozart and Beethoven. At the age of 10, he attended the local music school where he learned to play the piano. 6 years later he was the proud owner of an upright piano, a gift from his parents. Every day after school, he sat behind his piano and according to his mood, he played happy or sad tunes. When puberty kicked in, his musical preferences wandered a bit. He started going to parties and got influenced by electro and pounding techno music. Eventually he started to perform as DJ at numerous parties and clubs. Not much later he came in contact with the band Cité Soleil who where on the search for a singer. Together they toured the East-Flanders region for 6 years. After this period of reggae and ska filled performances, he started his own band called InnerSyn with a good friend and an American singer. He gained a following on audio distribution platform SoundCloud when he released his single “Almost Found My Peace” (a collaboration with Oliver Sadie). This brought him back on the road of classical/orchestral music. Koen has grown in his musical career thanks to his many collaborations with various artists like Dirk Maassen, Fivos Valachis, Milana, IceRequim, Zefora, Achazia,…
