A guitar is a tool that I took years to learn ..With a cassette recorder I would sit and learn riffs , chords and play with the various runs ... I would experiment deliberately meshing chords and rhythms together ... Lots of unlistenable would often yield something I could call my own ... I apply this unique to making music on a computer , another tool , .. It still involves the same decisions , choices and taste  as writing on the guitar .. Plagiarism and theft are the methods of the criminal , lazy and moderately talented . mistaking conventional success with art ... This theft can be used as an influence on an artists work at times I agree  .... Borrowing with benefits ?? AI is no threat to anyone apart from those who are running a racket and making tidy cut . They  see their fraud and deceit coming to an end ... Plagiarism has been around since the dawn of time and existed long before AI appeared R :)
