This is a piece I put together for Tod Machover's birthday last weekend. All done in Ableton (excepting my outboard TX-81Z synth in homage to Tod's FM roots), it is made entirely with samples pulled from Tod's various compositions, glued together with keyboard parts I laid down - the entire process took about 3 days.  Tod's music is all summarized at: http://operaofthefuture.com/music/ and the releases in particular that I borrowed from are: Valis, Toy Symphony, Death and the Powers, Hyperstring Trilogy, The Brain Opera, Resurrection, Soft Morning/City, Angels: Voices from Eternity, Flora, and Not Simpler - a list that spans 30 years of work!
